Always hard to compare attackers with midfielders and defenders. That’s why I don’t really like calling someone the best player. He for sure is our best attacker.

Exactly! Grav and VVD for example have been consistent. Could make a case for them. But tbh I won’t easily say Salah is our best attacker. Diaz and Gakpo have been great. Maybe less flashily so. And Jota been great before injury. Jota in particular is a Firminho type figure, and lots of value he brings is under appreciated, but he makes everyone better.

No doubt Paul will still find a way to justify the club not giving Mo Salah a new deal 🙃🙃🙃 and John says there’s enough bright minds at the club we sure about that? If they were bright these contracts would’ve been sorted by now.

Did you miss the restructure following klopp leaving 🤣 wasn't sorted before klopp left which was the issue, people sorting the contracts are currently negotiating (apparently) just gotta wait and see

The Messi comparison in terms of Salah ageing and still being a top player until he’s 36/37 is tricky because yes Messi still scored goals but he didn’t track back and contribute in all phases as much as Salah does now. It could be detrimental to the team. Give him a two year extension, until he’s 35 and then let him go. Keeping players past 35 is risky and shouldn’t be five more than a guaranteed squad role imo

Just shows you that even though the quality of the squad is great we definitely need a couple of real killers next summer. 2025 Mo cannot be the guy to carry us anymore if he's still here obviously. I really hope FSG injects a couple of hundred mil into the team and get us three world class players/prospects. One can dream.
