This is pure speculation,.. only time will tell. On his very 1st day Klopp said he'll start winning trophies on his 4th season, and he did exactly that. He went on to win almost every trophy an EPL club can win. How is that not strategic..🤔⁉️ So far Slot had not publicly stated his plan,.. he's inherited Klopp's squad, and with small tactical changes, he's doing a fantastic job. Y'all seem to be forgetting Harvey Elliot has been out the whole season and when he's back he might give Szoboszlai a tough time for that number 10 position. The only position problem I see is the back up to Gravenberch, Endo is a very good player and I'm not so sure about Tyler Morton's quality, Zubamendi would have been a good signing to complement the current starting 6 in continuity of playing style.

elliot is not strong or pacey enough to last the season. always injured or get run over in transition due to lack of pace. He is creative though so I think we need to move him on as a 1.5m investment fro 5 years he has not improved much to be a first teamer. we need a top AM since coutinho and relegate Szobo to the bench and let him fight for the place cos at least he is top box to box player. BUt you know FSG likes to flip our valuebale players and buy cheap potentials again and keep those super cheap elliotsd and jones as squad fillers. Chiesa and endo the latest editions.

He hasn't played during the reg. season yet under Slot although he was really good when I saw him during preseason so I think a top AM is not a big need at the moment. I'd rather focus more on LB, CB (Gomez is probably leaving next season), DM to rotate with Grav (maybe that's Bajcetic) and RW (depending on what happens with Salah)

he's just more pragmatic than klopp. liverpool at their best under klopp had 2 CBs on the halfway line for most of the game & everyone else ready to press as intensely as possible. they were never comfortable in a midblock & at no point did they stop trying to score goals. now they don't press the CBs & sit off a bit to reduce space between lines. combined with more adaptation to the opponent & gamestate. makes the team slightly more vulnerable at home but their away form will probably be more consistent season to season.

Slot is doing great so far and I hope it continues to be even better, but don't make comparisons about him and Klopp and who got the most out of the same players... Don't forget that Klopp had a whole new set of midfielders last year (Endo, Szobo, Macca and Gravenberch) while having his captain and vice captain leave, plus Ox, Keita and Thiago. So Klopp actually integrated all those players and now it works well with Slot, which is actually great. Not to forget that Elliot and Jones needed to be integrated into the team after injuries, plus debut seasons for Bradley and Quansah which are now regulars in the first team squad. So instead of making comparisons, you should see it more like Klopp did what he could, loved the club, left it in e, cellent condition and tried to help the next manager even before he came, and Slot got into a good environment, with everyone on his side from the start so that he can help the club be on top. With other words, how it should be.

The English FA will not set up games to allow City to win it 5 in a row. Liverpool registered more shots than any other team last season and if Luiz Diazs goal against Tottenham, Odegards handball at anfield and Doku's boot on Macca at anfield stood last season, then Liverpool would have been equal points with City and lost on Goal difference. They outplayed city at Anfield. They are the most deserving team to win and are top. 99% sure they will win it. Forget injuries, liverpool lost Salah many times during Afcon and won almost every game, played u21s and win thumped barca without a frontline etc. Liverpool will win this. Slot's measured approach and not rocking the boat is remarkably similar to Paisley after Shankly. Don't try to fix what isn't broken. Make a few tweaks here and there without upsetting the balance and momentum of the team and you have a potentially well oiled machine that could be an improvement from last season. Slot isn't peddling himself as some kind of genius, he's just being smart about it. He appreciates what Klopp has left him and he's left his ego outside the club to make a success of it. That's the mark of a top manager.

Defensively we have clearly improved, but this is to be expected as they are no longer playing the heavy metal football style Klopp was running with which meant for example the full backs were either up the park or if they had managed to get back they were too exhausted to be able to defend to their best, Konate is also not having to cover Trent as much either so the gaps between the CB's has been close. We now also have Grav and Macca lying deep so it's another line to get through. On the flip side, I feel were not as offensively great and having to really work for a goal or two, which is absolutely fine if were not conceding or 1 at most, as you can grab 2-1 victories consistently.

The truth nobody seems to know about klopp. When he joined Liverpool, Liverpool had a transfer policy/system, eg salah mane, etc. Klopp always wanted to buy marke signing but there was issues between him and the transfer guys behind closed doors. After 2020, winning the Prem, klopp gained more power/control over transfers. This led to the behind the scenes transfer guys to leave Liverpool. Liverpool went forward with klopp holding more power, bought Thiago, played him for like 15 mins in between injuries, bought minamino and sold him again, then bought Nunez, but realised he still needs finishing practice. That’s why, season 22/23, Liverpool lost 7 games in the Prem, fell out of top 4, and klopp made a statement that he shouldn’t be at Liverpool anymore and that any other manager would get the sack(December-ish 22) A lot of Liverpool fans were confused, me included, it’s because he knew, the more power he gained, the more the results are down to him, so he made a crazy statement, because Liverpool fans see him as a legend. He finished the season. Rebuilt the midfield summer 23, had one more go at the league, 23/24 and pretty much quit half way through, gave notice. (he even said he made his mind up about quitting in summer 23-while he was rebuilding the midfield) As soon as klopp leaves, the guys behind the scenes doing transfers, rejoin Liverpool. That’s the deal! He left with respect.

If you've actually watched LIV closely, you'd realize that Macca actually plays best as an 8 \ 10 with freedom and with 2 behind him. He justt rarely gets the chance due to fact LIV never found another natural 6. Similarly, that JOnes is actually better as a deeper lying 6 \ 8 , not as the 10 he came from the academy as. Lastly, that DOM, who has some 10 skills ... is actually best in the LIV system as a Hendo style 8 who has a defensive focus but has the wheels to both push fwd into gaps and can still get back.
