We know exactly what ya mean about Jeep envy!! We was in Sedona AZ in March and seeing all the Jeeps made us long for going places our Chevy Dually wouldn’t go. So we just sold our truck and 5th wheel and bought a Jeep and Class A!! Headed to Colorado next month on our 1st adventure in our new set up and can’t wait to hit the trails!! Hope y’all can join us and become RV Jeepers someday!!

I spent a couple months exploring Arizona back in 2000. I already owned a 4X4 Dodge Dakota. I had sooo much fun with my 4X4 exploring the back road and canyons. I plan to return to Arizona this winter and will definitely be buying another 4X4 vehicle. My aunt gave me a great tip if I ever got stuck in the sand. She told me to cut mesquite bushes and put them under each tire. Well, I did get stuck and, by golly, her tip save me a towing fee. I love the way David’s face crunches up when he gets excite grinning from ear-to-ear.

This video is so fun to watch!! We were there last summer and did that trail with a rented Jeep but we started from the other end. My husband may not have told myself and our son about the switchbacks until we were more than half way through the ride. I definitely white knuckled it but it was so worth it!! What amazing views and the Thelma and Louise spot was so cool!!

I can relate with your guys’ excitement about jeeping! My family & I rented a Jeep in Ouray, CO (the “jeeping capital of the world” due to all the old mining roads in the area that go high into the mountains! Totally amazing, and Ouray has LOTS of Jeep rental places! Don’t miss out on jeeping there whenever you get a chance to visit that area. We are DEFINITELY going back one day!)

Probably, even if having to make several short "Y" moves in each switchback to get through them. However, not sure the truck could make it through the VERY tight (and scary) switchbacks of Black Bear Pass. -- BR

We just left Telluride area again and last year we rented a Jeep saying the same thing. We hated to turn it in so we bought one, put an iKamper on it and hit the trails. Moab nights were a little to warm for the tent so we opted for 34 to 44 degrees at night in Colorado. Love the new JL though 😍

There's nothing else like a Jeep for exploring the world. I've had Jeeps in the past and switched to Ford F-150s, but my wife just bought a 2020 Gladiator, and I got the Jeep bug again. I traded my 2018 F-150 for a 2020 JLU Wrangler. Now we're shopping for a small travel trailer we can pull with the Jeeps and Explore the world!

Loved the video, but you could have done Long Canyon and Shafer switchbacks in your truck (just a FYI). If you go back, get a jeep and do maze overlook trail (moderate) or fins and things (difficult but not really).... but there’s so many good ones!

You really captured the beauty of the area with your photography and editing. Great job! I have the same 2004 LLY Duramax as you but in 4 wheel drive and a short bed. I bought it new and It has been a great vehicle. It does get me around on the back roads but I doubt I would want to do the drive you did in the jeep. I think it would be to big and it does not have the best turning radius. It probably would not have cleared some those tight spots on the second drive. Getting the jeep for the day was a smart move! Thomas and Stacy mentioned in their last video about you folks helping each other out and one item was a repair to your truck. Seeing as I have basically the same truck, could you share what needed repairing. IT might be a good thing for me to know! Thanks.

I have a F 250 4x4 when we use to tow a trailer and I came to the same conclusion about the length and turning radius was too big for off road except in big open areas. We switched to a motor home and now have a 2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara 4x4 we tow flat 4 down. The Suzuki GV was the last light weight vehicle made with an automatic transmission and 4 wheel Hi Lo transfer case that could be towed flat 4 wheels down. I love our Suzuki for the same reason you loved that Jeep in the video. The only thing I plan to do to the Suzuki is put a 2" lift kit on. A 4 Runner would be next on my list if I could tow it's weight.
