Well actually, Stafford's based on the North Staffordshire Railway battery-electric No. 1. and it'll be the closest we'll get to an electric loco for the moment.

Trust me, there were dark times in the history of British railways, when experiencing was still young, and people would call anything that rolled by itself a locomotive. I have a feeling that they depicted Stafford accurately.He'll be given a bigger battery later. Or a dynamo. Also, since he's made out of wood, and practically looks like a child's drawing of a car on wheels, I'd say he's enough light to be pushed. Also, we don't know the EXACT time he's been travelling when his battery runs out.

With Stafford, I think that the Fat in the Hatt saves money by buying the cheapest, oldest engines available. What's he saving all that money for anyways? Full roasted cattle? Pizzaturduckaburgens?
