Voice Play Fact: The villager who suggests cooking Heihei is voiced by Alan Tudyk, who also provides Heihei's vocal effects. Moana (2016) was the first Disney film dubbed into Maori. The Maori version is available in Australia and New Zealand, as well as on Disney Plus. Mythology Fact: The spiral on Moana's (Auli'i Cravalho) necklace and on the sail of her boat is called a koru. It represents the unfurling fern frond, symbolizing new life, new beginnings, personal growth, hope, a new start, perfection, rebirth, awakening, purity, the spirit of rejuvenation and peace. As a double spiral, it also symbolizes kinship and belonging. Had a friend who is Polynesian and she cried she had not ever thought she would see this, that vibe, those people covered with humor love and respect. The cast also kills it and this is one of the FEW films that the Rock crushes it and you find yourself growing to root for. As always your head and heart are top tier Sir. Super excited for Moana 2 also if your curious about celebrating Christmas early like me 'cause it's my favorite holiday then the next movie you should do I recommend is MouseHunt (1997) my favorite Christmas movie about two down on their luck brothers trying to catch my favorite animal A Mouse plus it's an underatted gem that I believe needs more love 😄🤞🏻💕🐁🎄🎥👍🏻

Maui was so famous hero, known throughout polynesia. The Hawaiian's named an island in his honor and memory. Maui's final quest was to acquire immortality for humanity unfortunately, he failed and was no longer seen. His mother Taranga assumed he died at birth. She made a basket of human hair from her head (tiki tiki) and did indeed sent him to Tangaroa , God of the sea, who bestowed upon Maui his powers for humanity. Full name Maui tiki tiki a Taranga

I love how the voice actor for Moana’s dad (Temuera Morrison) can’t sing, so for his song Lin Manuel Miranda just called up the guy from Hamilton who played George Washington to do that song 😂
