What I find interesting about this song is the lyric "But you won't find a saviour in me I guarantee" and then Moana goes to put the heart on the mountain and the reason I find this interesting is that instead of Moana's plan being to bring down the end of her civilization it's already happening around her so instead her evil act is simply to do nothing which is not something that I feel like I've seen anywhere else.

Basically her father caught her trying to leave and burned most of the boats and locked her up for 6 months to a year. In that time moana started hearing her people dying to the darkness. During that time she breaks free but as she journeys Maui betrays her and with her heart already being tarnished by rage it she keeps the heart as a symbol. She placed it on the pile of rocks as a symbol that she won’t save a murder.
