I love how the show's main focus isn't about becoming powerful, it's about mental health and dealing with things like anxiety. That alone is a huge contributor of this show becoming my favourite anime as well.

This is wrong. It’s about becoming strong in your own way and overcoming your hardships. Mob dosnt think he’s above people because of his powers because he was born with them. He dosntywant today he considered better than other people because of something he was born with so he works his hardest to become better at other things. Mental health is a semi large part but that’s part of the focus of becoming strong.

Mob Psycho is honestly better than 90% of media out there, animated or not. Better than most live action shows. The comedic timing is perfection and the feels always land, it never lets you forget that it's a coming-of-age story for an emotionally repressed boy with one of the most unique plotline out there, not a shitty wish fulfillment hero fantasy. It's a masterpiece and I wish people who are just getting obsessed with animated shows and non-anime fans can get the chance to watch it at least once in their lifetime. Just imagine if newbies and normies who only discovered Avatar: The Last Airbender also knew about the brilliance of Mob Psycho.

Yeah. I feel like season 1 was more of just an introduction to the cast. Season 2 definitely got more emotionally attached to show with all the character development and touching scenes. As a kid on the spectrum, along with other percieved issues, I've always had issues with my emotions and empathy. Though I've worked hard to not be socially awkward, Mob has spoken to me very deeply since season one. Whether on purpose or by accident this show speaks to my autistic nature in a way that shows actually about autism fail to do. This show is very special to me, its hard to really speak in words the many reasons that I think its one of the most important anime of all time.

Ep 7 is so annoying. After Reigen meets Mob at the end, the screen suddenly becomes super blurry. I have not been able to find a version that doesn't have this problem. I know it's only for the last 30 seconds or so, but I swear the blurry screen transcends the video and continues for a while into real life.

I remember being absolutely astonished during the final arc of season one when Reigen talked all of those Claw grunts out of being villainous just by pointing out how cruel their actions were. In almost any other story that approach would get a character laughed at and then brutally murdered, which always makes me sad because it says some very nasty things about people who are kind and hopeful and the capacity for people who do bad things to change for the better. And what astonished me even more was that the show maintained that sympathetic approach with every stronger subsequent villain. There was never a point where someone was strong enough and evil enough that being kind and wanting people to change became a weakness.

I think everyone loves the animation style, it’s the artstyle. Although he’s a fantastic writer one is a horrible artist, and the anime sticks to the art. They stuck with the horrible artstyle and use the most of it for comedic moments while they use ungodly animation to make the fights look good with the art style

His art does a suitable job communicating information to the reader and adds a layer of humor that works well with the comedic elements of the manga, while managing to not undermine some of the more emotional aspects of the story which to me is damn impressive. I really do think he has a strong grasp of composition and a lot of the manga covers are breathtaking

8:08 (S2, Episode 5, 21:30) where she apologizes is one of the most heart wrenching minutes of anime I have ever seen. The voice acting is phenomenal, the backstory is believable and compelling, and my fucking god, the animation is some of the best I have ever seen. The way the animators were able to portray her emotions through her body language, wide eyes, and trembling fingers is absolutely fantastic.

The small nuances in OPM themes are expertly expressed in MP100's wholesome and phenomenally written characters. It's quite incredible to see a writer create such amazing and relatable characters.

"the reason mob is so powerful is that hes a sensitive emotional kid, and its that trait, and not the power that it gives him that proves to be mobs greatest strength" -is also why i think mp100 is one of the best "shounen" out there cuz while i loved anime like naruto growing up, and while they taught me a lot about things like hard work, they also tend to romanticize power and violence. mp100 managed to give us some of the best action scenes in anime and still stay grounded which is what young boys (the target audience of shounen) need.

Shige-o literally means "accurate," "sharp," or "delicate" boy in Japanese, which can be pronounced as Mo-bu in another Japanese way of the Chinese characters That is why the main character is called in two different ways Shigeo is his formal name and Mobu is his nickname

For having such strong comedic elements (not sure I would full on call it a comedy) Mob Psycho is amazingly deep and touches on so many issue with a kind of freshness and honesty that makes it an absolute treat to watch. It sounds silly to say that my life is better for having watched a tv show, especially an anime, but I have no hesitations saying it about Mob Psycho. Mob psycho has made me cry and laugh more than almost any anime. While others have given me access to wells of feeling I didn't know I had, Mob Psycho is something I can relate to. Mob Psycho 100 secretly proves that it's the best anime ever even since the first season. You get to experience some of the best character developments such as Dimple, Teru, Kamuro Shinji (student council), Ristu, Onigawara and not to mention Mob and Reigen developing in the second season. The simplicity of all the unique looking characters help to animate more movements than any other anime and also helps to create the most amazing fight scenes that you will ever see. There are so many different medias of art used to make comedic effect like pencil drawings etc. which is very original compared to the sweat drip mark or the angry vein mark. You also never know where the plot is going to go. Just when you think something is going to happen, the story changes into something completely new which is one of the most enjoyable experiences when watching a tv show also there is some romance starting to happen ;) Its the best!

I started seeing Mob Psycho 2 nights ago. I got to s2e8 today, and because I couldn’t wait until Monday to see what happened to Mob’s family, I read the last 30 chapters (total of 60+ parts) of the manga, which took me around 6 hours today. I rewatched the scene three times after finishing the manga and I still wasn’t prepared.

you know how every good anime has that one episode that sticks with you and fundamentally changes something about you or how you see the world? yeah that's literally EVERY EPISODE of mp100 season 2 so far (not that season 1 wasn't also incredible!). i keep thinking it can't possibly get better but every episode feels like a very loving punch to the gut and makes me want to be a better, kinder, stronger, more genuine person. why be bitter and spiteful towards the hurt the world has given you when you can be gentle and kind and grateful towards the good things and people in your life? this is what mp100 makes me think about. also, episode 5 deserves a goddamn oscar.

okay seriously, mob psycho 100 is the one and only piece of media i can truly say it change me for the best. first of all, the anime came out when i was struggling with my autism and i just started college which was a huge change for me. i needed to be a productive member of society and i didn't know how to. then i watch mob and i learn that even by my difference, and even if it can hurt people sometime, i'm still a person. not to ignore those issue or embrace it, but to view it as something to offer and control, to become a helpful member of society with it or despise of it. Mob psycho is one of the best coming of age anime and it as super power people fighting each other. what more do you need!!!!

I can't know what you're going through, but TTGL is a great mix of life lessons, Shonen battles and a wee bit of comedy (and a bit about "bacoming a useful member of society", I guess) as well. So they might be 95% finished with all the episodes, but only 100% with the first two when they start airing for instance. Remember they'll have several months to finish their work after the first episode has aired.

Anime episodes are produced in parallel, since that's more efficient than doing them sequentially. I disagree that Mob is an uninteresting charater. My first thought when I met him was *MUST PROTECC.* Mob is an adorable cinnomom roll, who's kind and thoughtful. And his intense awkwardness and lack social skills is relatable and endearing as all get out. And that's all before you truly get know him and learn what an amazing person he really is. I think mob is an incredible role model, not just for kids but for adults too. He shows that the way too a good life is hard work and empthay. Something that many other shows (cough, cough, Naruto, cough, cough) that espouse the same ideas fail at. I'd say he's one best if not the best character of the series.

@@GamerGrill420 Tsubomi has no fault here, she wasn't aware of Mob's affections and even then, he's nothing but a friend to her. Mob doesn't even actually know KNOW her, he's infatuated with her and the idea of a happy romance with her. Also, you have to thank Tsubomi, because she was one of the first people that made Mob think that "having powers doesn't automatically make you special or above others", which helped with how grounded and down-to-earth Mob is. Also, Tsubomi is a living metaphor for Mob's growing desires in life. He joined the Body Improvement club to impress her but he found his own self-growth throughout his journey. SPOILERS: Mob confessed and she turned him down, but they still remained friends. She stayed just to hear his confession even when the entire city was being evacuated. She may not think of him as a romantic prospect but she lowkey values him as a human being, and that's more than enough.

I never connected the dots that Mob's true power comes from his emotional sensitivity and empathy. As someone who struggles with liking that aspect of myself sometimes it's helped me see it in a more ppositive light. Oh and favorite anime besides Avatar the last airbender would be Assassination Classroom, it's such an amazing show that deserves to be more popular than it already is.

What's great about Mob Psycho is its deep , complex, unique and fun characters. Even if it weren't an anime on espers, this anime would have still been great. Because of its characters. I love Mob Psycho 100 so much. This is first anime I have been excited to see a season 2 for. And I would probably have the same reaction for Noragami season 3. Noragami is anime that has the top place in my heart. To next to it, comes Mob Psycho 100. If bones would ever decide to do that season 3, I would be blessed. And that is likely not to happen. 😥. But I love Shigeo so 😁.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood was the first anime I ever watched to completion, and to this day still might be my favorite. The life and personality present in every character, the themes of family and sacrifice, the art and animation, the soundtrack, the writing, the worldbuilding, the way the ending ties everything together in a way that satisfies, yet left me longing for more - almost a decade later, it's still one of the main reasons I'm trying to become a writer. Lately though, there have been so many shows stepping up to the plate to challenge it I'm beginning to wonder if it still holds that spot. 3-Gatsu no Lion, Uchoten Kazoku, Katanagatari, and Space Dandy are all in the running now, and I don't know if I can pick just one.
