Man watching this years later, I don't think there's a single season I can think of where I watched and loved more anime on your list than this one. I don't have enough time to watch nearly as much anime as I'd like, and there are seasons I end up seeing *zero* new anime. This one, I'm well over half. This was simply a banger fucking season.

I honestly don't think Do-Over Damsel belongs on this list. Maybe an honorable mention on ones to watch, sure, but it executes surprisingly well on its premise and the animation is too strong for trash. If it can only be on one list or the other I guess I get it.

I highly recommend campfire cooking in another world with my unique skill! There are a few anime-typical women but they don't have too many overtly upsetting qualities and they also don't show up super often! Anime with the least amount of anime bullshit I've ever seen. It also has some surprisingly thoughtful and engaging world building, some stupidly delicious looking anime food, and lovely cozy vibes while addressing some of the more practical concerns of what it would be like to be taken to another world as a working adult.

The healer one is wild because the manga later reveals there's basically a Truman-esque town-wide conspiracy to make him fuck off and go live somewhere else. But for some reason the anime skips all the story beats related to it, so I think they might have removed it entirely. Armia's complete mental breakdown is also toned down A LOT. The best thing that story had going for it was the awful unsettling vibes happening in the background, but it seems we won't get any of that.

it's time travel, of course it changes the canon. although the out of order story telling is still janky

detroit is one of my favorite games ever, but to be honest, the exaggerated absolutes between the two sides was a big problem for me. along with the many plot holes and contradictions- but i still really like the game and the fanbase it garnered, it was the first game that had me genuinely interested in how games like this were made and the people behind it

Ive been kinda bored watching the Villianness one, and its seven episodes in and like... i love the premise with her disdain of the heriones niave bs, but we barely see that. Genuinely nothings happening. We arent really seeing a proper romance or harem interactions, we arent seeing her actually help people, we dont see her use her magic or strenth or swordplay. The time jumps are so random and unnecessary? And we dont really see her underminding the heroine or changing her mind. It feels like all epsides are filler episodes. Idk why im keeping up with this when its not actually delivering on any of the premises it can lean into. She isnt *doing* anything. They are all just impressed shed a good studious hermit wizard and all believe the hype. I give it five flaming potato fields in a magically quarantined town in historical australia. I didnt expect much, but its still disapointing.
