The Band from all the openings is called "Mob Choir" and was litereally created for the show also: The author of the Manga is called "One" (Same for One Punch Man), so the name of the third opening makes sense

Yeah, I really love the directing that went into this show. I also remember reading somewhere that at least one of the storyboarders were massive fans of the manga and were really passionate about making the anime as great as they can.

yeah im pretty sure this was a passion project for the creators at Bones. they got the whole team singing in the intros, and they really got experimental with it. not to mention they really took their time; it ended up being worth the wait!

7:43 to be fair it is pretty common thing to do, like 90% of openings and endings have visuals used only in them and not in the show itself. Some anime even have different versiins if thr same op ir ed, but with some changes, could be simething minor expressing what is happening in the show or can have some extra new scenes and etc.

Mob psycho 100 is about self improvement. yes there's cool fight animation here and there. but that's only a small part of it. unlike most shonen show main character who's goal is either to be the greatest or strongest. this show main character goal is to live a normal life to the fullest.

the OPs are all bangers and promises so much craziness and the show actually delivers on the crazy wild ride that the OPs show. Mob Psycho will be in a few years be hailed as one of the best in the genre in terms of it's unique handling of the themes, the animation and direction and the OSTs. Hope more people will watch this show!

Good reaction guys, really enjoyed it, probably one of the only videos where I watch the full commentary instead of skipping to the reaction. If you ever get the chance, definitely recommend watching mob psycho 100. I used to be weirded out by the art style, but it's honestly such a unique show with some amazing characters and great comedy.

99 and 99.9 both reference Mob's feelings being about to explode (as indicated by the looming percentage that peppers the show). 1 can be interpreted in many more ways: - Another comment referenced that 100% of x is equivalent to multiplying x by 1. While sound math-wise, I don't think that's the intent here. ------- SLIGHTLY SPOILERY --------- - Mob is a bit more isolated in the third season, so it could be referencing that, but I'm also not convinced. - Mob has also become more stable, progressing towards being less reliant on his latent power as he is striving to. 1 could then mark that he's getting closer to always having his counter at 1%. Currently my favorite interpretation.

If u listen to the full song u do hear the pings tht represent Mob reaching 100% and near the end the noise blares signifying he hit 100%. Then at the very end of the song where it goes quiet, u hear 8 pings signifying its gone back to *1* and goin back up to 100% again. (excluding those last pings at the end of the song. The rest of the earlier pings are exactly 100 pings made in the song) Which it more or less circles back to the start of the 1st song, 99.

10:45 The progression of the opening is perfectly logical: in the first op they are counting to 100% (referencing the title mob psycho *100*) but actually stop at 99, then the second op is drawing ever so closer to the goal i.e. 99.9 and for the third op we finally arrived at destination because 100% = 1.

If you don't mind some manga spoilers (which I think by now are anime spoilers), I highly recommend the video Mother's Basement did on the second opening (99.9). The entire opening is a huge throwback to various animation techniques through the ages and it was a real treat to learn about them all.
