WHAT AM I WATCHING?!?! | Mob Psycho 100 All Opening and Endings!

One of my favorite stories, let alone anime. The openings are a masterclass in giving you a feel for the show without giving you any spoilers. There’s always some new connection to make each time you watch the intros after each new episode. You can get those “Aha! So that’s why there’s the ‘x’ in the intro!” moments.

Actually, they made some spoilers, but they are so subtle that you couldn't think that they are spoilers unless you watched the anime

Endings 1 and 3 were made by miyo sato, she animated the endings using paint on glass! Also the openings are made by a band called "mob choir" which is formed by all the mob psycho cast including voice actors, directors, animators, etc. The vocalist for the openings and all the endings starting from season 2 are sung by sana from sajou no sana

The paint on glass is so awesome I really really enjoyed just watching those endings. The fact that the cast and pretty much everyone's vocals are used in the openings is also pretty cool!

Also fun fact: Miyo Sato was recruited by Bones right after college. There are only a handful of paint on glass animators in the industry.

The spinning thing at the beginning and end of the second op is actually a form of animation called a zoetrope! There can be 2D or 3D zoetropes, but essentially they have a bunch of 2D images or 3D figures in a circle in the zoetrope, and they spin really fast, making you see an animation! I find it really cool that they did that

That first ending isn’t actually drawn, It’s painted. It’s a rare type of animation called paint of glass animation and is seldomly used due to how painstaking it is because you can’t correct mistakes and you need to finish animating a scene in one sitting
