Michael, your Christian beliefs work for you, and I am happy you have that in your life. Here’s where I draw the line though. Don’t disrespect me and my beliefs by insisting that, despite my lifetime of working to be the best person I can be, I will go to your fictional Hell. That absolute belief encompasses such arrogance and disrespect and attempts to intimidate non-Christians. It closes off the opportunity for an equal relationship based upon mutual respect and trust. Believe whatever want, but don’t wield it as a club to recruit converts.

Hi Micheal. My biggest fear in life was having a child. Not because I didn’t want one. But because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to support him, to be there for him. I grew up without my father. I never knew him and he didn’t want anything to do with me. When given the option to see me he chose to just pay child support and that was it. I was afraid I was going to be just like him. When I had my son Jesse, my life got 200x better, I was the happiest person in the world I love and would do anything for him. He has everything he could ever want and more. I never understood why my father didn’t want anything to do with me, but I know one thing. I’m a damn happy to have my son.

I’m in a similar situation right now. How old were you when you had your child if you don’t mind me asking? I’m 21, and I got a girl pregnant. She wants to keep it even though we are both not ready, and I’m terrified. For me, I have the opposite background, I have a great dad and supportive family, so it kills me that I won’t be able to be as good of a dad. I still want to start my career and explore the world, but I feel like my life is over, I feel like I died and I’m now a ghost. How has this effected your life and what are some of the challenges? I just don’t see any scenario where this turns out well for me and my dreams, and the well-being of this child. I didn’t plan for kids until I was at least 30-35.
@blakerich58044 жыл бұрын
@@Zombikilla10789 bro, everything will be alright. I found out my girl was pregnant when I was 19. I was scared and I was not making the best choices in life. But when you hold that child in your hands, your instincts kick in and you will love that child more than you thought you could love. Your child will love you no matter what your job is. You will be their world.. I made sacrifices, I had to grow up, it wasn’t easy I won’t lie. But everything will be okay my man. The mother and I didn’t work out.. but luckily we have a good coparenting relationship. Just be responsible.. do your best to provide.. and always be there for your child and I promise you everything will be okay.

Most fearful moment! Years ago when I was working as a firefighter. Had a structure fire an the roof collapsed an I was pinned to the floor face down for over 8 minutes. With the fire burning around me I realized this was probably the end. My next thought was do I want to Be conscious while I burn to death or remove my face piece and quickly suffocate. My daughter at the time was 4 months old an I decided that if I removed my face piece that I would be quitting and if I was going to die it would be fighting till the last breath. Luckily my crew got to me an freed me from the collapse. I had several broken ribs bruised kidneys lacerated liver and a ruptured spleen but I made it. What i took from that was no matter how hard things get or how hopeless a situation seems. It’s better to go out fighting your guts out than to simply say this is to hard I can’t do it and quit. It can’t rain all the time eventually the sun will show its face again and quitting just isn’t an option. Live life every minute like it could be you last because honestly it could be. Slow down an take in your “normal everyday” because in the end we all leave the same way we came, with nothing. Tell the people you love in you life how you feel about them every chance you get because one day for all of us could be the last time you have the opportunity to tell them!

I lost sight of my 2 year old son in a playground once. Got distracted for a second, turned back he was gone. 1st minute was just annoyed, surely he's here somewhere, 2nd minute the panic started, and by minute 3 I'm frantic. I found him after 10 minutes climbing a tree. But in those last minutes my imagination put me through a hell I never want to experience again. I would have gladly given my life just to know he was safe. I've experienced fear in the past, life threatening fear...but never anything like that.
