And he keeps getting better and better with the upgrades... it’s just that he tends to go all out on monsters that are WAY more powerful that him just for Saitama to step in. Genos is actually pretty powerful and capable, but still he isn’t even close to Tatsumaki’s power. Look for some of he’s feats: Destroy the whole “house of evolution” in a single heat blow at his less powerful state and with no effort, burn from the inside a several km Dragon level centipede... people underestimate Genos a lot these days.

One thing that I hate about people matching and powerscaling Mob against other characters is that it completely goes against the point of Shigeo Kageyama. The whole point is that he is trying to actively change and nurture the abilities he has BESIDES his powers. Putting him in a fight where "28 year old shortstack attacks middle schooler for asking for directions" has no real reason to happen behind it. And in defense ense of Tatsumaki, we mustn't forget that she is still a hero. She wouldn't mindlessly attack Mob. Mob fights people to help change himself, and fighting some random angry "adolescent" girl with similiar powers whom he has never met before. Mob winning this battle, would mean nothing for him because he had to rely on ??? And 100%. Tatsumaki winning this battle would mean nothing to her because Mob isn't an active threat, he's just a middle school boy. Mob at 100% and ???% is extremely powerful, but *only* because he's lost himself to raw, imprecise emotion - in this case, rage. Mob was so fed up with her that he forgot that breaking an esper's body does nothing to actually impede their psychic power... something Tatsumaki promptly reminded him of by thinking ahead and grabbing a meteor without him even noticing ("You should pay more attention!"), since unlike Mob, Tatsumaki can fight at her best while still thinking things through... even if she's a brat while doing so.
