Yep, that's a Mobil Directo. The major difference between these sirens and the Allertor is the belt driven rotator. Allertors have a direct-drive rotator and a fiberglass horn/stator housing.

Alex Barlow nope. The Mobil directo was made by B&N in America. They later changed their name to ACA and manufactured the allertor instead of the Mobil directo

No, the Allertor is very different. They went from a belt drive on the Mobil-Directo to a chain drive on the Allertor. A new motor cover and different drive system were on the Allertor also. Plus, the Allertor shroud is fiberglass.

Contrary to popular belief, 8 port directos had 4 vanes as well as 10/12 models. Dual tone models use the same chopper/stator assembly as the 500AT. The vanes on dual tone ones are more pronounced. Both the 12 and 10 rings have have the vanes.

Mr someone, it has 4 canes, making it 10/12. Once when they were doing some work on the Pottsville Mobil directo, they took it off the roof and took the shroud off to do some work on the chopper (slightly higher pitched now BTW). It had 4 vanes.
