Mobile Food Bank Haul! 4/19! Blessed!

My family uses the food bank to help stretch our monthly food budget. After paying the bills sometimes we don't have much extra. Using the food pantry helps me be able feed my family relatively healthy. We appreciate all that we get!

I went to a once a month food Pantry I mostly go for the drinks today they gave me three 12-pack bottles Peak zero sugar sweet tea I was very happy to get. This particular Pantry does not give out much meat very often sometimes they will give out frozen pizzas Lunchables or something like that. I got a lot of different candy bars some canned goods cereal no vegetables it just depends on what they have but they always have some kind of drinks. Last month I got 24 boxes of 40 count four flavors propel packets they sell at Kroger for $5.97. Nobody wanted them so she told me to take them all plus I got 18 bottles of the tea. We have a place downtown that isn't a regular shelter they're open 10:00 to 5:00 7 days a week they serve lunch and supper provide showers and laundromat I took most of the propel there. I figure anything that you get is more than what you had before and I'm always thankful. We have about 13 pantries within 15 miles of where I live some are drive-thru some you go inside and pick what you want some are monthly weekly or bi-weekly it all helps. The third Saturday is also called War Chest it's not the typical Pantry they do not give out food they give prepackaged boxes of health and beauty products four rolls toilet paper cleaners they get all the products from Dollar Tree and they value the box about $20 I help pack these boxes to be distributed. They had gotten some packages of Depends donated so I was able to get six packages for my 89 year old mom they had four large totes full always happy to get those. Doesn't matter if your pantry is a large one or a small it's always helpful

I went to the church food pantry today. Once a month. It was storming but thats ok. Got a lot of weird stuff but it will be an adventure trying it.
