You should have swapped coils to see if the misfire changed cylinders but instead you just recommended repairs that you don’t know will actually fix the issue and you didn’t even look into the air fuel mixture code

The engine is starving for fuel. Kind of crazy to think about legit lean codes on a water-logged air filter... ha! I'd check the fuel filter. Based on its condition, I would also consider draining the bottom half of the tank for water. Can probably expect some evap codes after you get the fuel system happy.

@semperfimechanic Well I had an opposite experience this morning. 2007 Honda Beer Can that had been driven through an oil refinery. A 2.4 liter ecological disaster on wheels. I turned that one down; not getting fucked by that thing in this 107+ heat.

I chargerd her a $100 diganosis fee. Then gave her a quote of $400 to replace spark plugs,air filter, oil and oil filter and drain gas tank but she declined

By the way, I worked at a euro shop for a few years and most BMW's I worked on had water/oil built up on the oil cap. Fairly normal from what I have seen. If the oil was milky than I would be concerned but build up on the cap isn't a concern to me.@@semperfimechanic

Of course. The customer never tells you what actually happened because they are afraid if they do it will cost more $. They are only costing themselves more with diag. Plus a lot of people that are driving used Euros (trash cars) can’t afford the maintenance on them when they break. You have to look cool right 🙄
