I would remove the trailer tires and put dollies under the hubs for moving on and off the lift. I would add lock nuts to the lift pads and level the car while on the safety stops so you can go to the lift when working on areas blocked by the jig and slide the hitch all the way back and use it for the core support center line.

Good ideas. I have overcome the lift arm issues.

Sounds like a great plan! Love the trailer idea. It would be nice to drag it out of the way if necessary for other projects. The stand/jig I have my car on has large bolts(can't remember the size) that go through and are welded to a beam. They are at the floor supports and the front of the rear frame rail with nuts and washers I welded together to hold the car up. Similar to what you are talking about with the all thread. I added some support/adjustment set up to the rear and front also. Made it nice to level things up before removing stuff. And I have to move it out of the way when I'm not working on it so I always check it over to make sure its still where I want it when I put it back in the work position. Limited on space. Watching to see where I can make improvements. Love the channel.

I would recommend using the rear spring mounting points. I bought new rear frame rails and the alignment holes were 5/16" off on one of the rails.

I like the idea of the all thread, helps adjust a complete floor or, even frame rails. Would the front oval holes on the frame rails work if you ground the threads off the all thread about 2 in or so from the top. I like the idea of adjustment options. Although clamping the vehicle down will be important to for transporting.

I have a plan for the front. I will use the bumper mount bracket holes.

Barry..what was the trailer length? I like the entire idea and build.

I’ll have to measure it.

As I watched, I kept thinking about how many mustangs I've seen with front rail damage. It would be nice to be able to set a new rail right in place on the jig while the car is on it. And also to be able to see from just sitting a car on the jig just how far off a bent up rail is from factory. I think the 3/4 pins would be easier for that but your other ideas would work to physically hold the car in place for working on it or transport. Maybe both setups is an option.

I agree. If it all works out, replacing a front rail will be easier.

Great info, Barry. Can't wait to see the jig done, and can't wait to see the Pulco take shape and come together.

Not sure if I missed this is in the video, if I did I apologize, but what is the exact purpose of this jig? Is it to enable you to bolt down and haul any 64 1/2 to 67 mustang? o is it to provide a platform for working on the car when the rear and front-ends are off? Or is it to provide reference for straightening a bent chassis? I thought the latter in this case as this car may have been damaged in in the past and you wanted to make sure all the alignment points we correct.

Yes, yes, and yes. Along with that, I may be able to assemble my own floor pans.

i have dynacorn full assembly apron framerails that i'm installing. if i put the framerails in the floorsupport extensions (floorsupportextension height is on the ford diagram messurement) and when i set the messurements from the bumper holes on the ford diagrams . there is no way i can get the idler arm and steering bolt holes on the messurements of the ford drawing. i think the curve of the new panels are different then the ford manual messurements. If i set the new framerails on the ideler arm and steering bolt locations then the front bumper holes is not on the right messurement . and also if i put the bumper hole on the messurement the idler arm and steering holes will not lineup with the messurements i'm going to follow youre vids about this to see if you also have these prtoblems

Since aftermarket panels rarely seems to fit 100% using factory locating holes doesn't seem like as good of an idea as using suspension mounting points...I feel like they're more likely to be accurate.

The car will be on 4 or 5 mount points. The jacks will keep it all level
