That's great to hear, Sharon! The animal holders are bigger, as they are book/tablet holders, and they are paid patterns, so Aneta will not post here any tutorial for them. You can order the patterns from her website, here's the link to it: www.crochetarcade.co.uk/product-category/baby-blanket-crochet-patterns/. She has discounts for buying 3, 4 or 5 patterns, here's the link to the discount codes: www.crochetarcade.co.uk/new-offer-on-my-patterns/. Alternatively, you can also purchase the patterns in her other shops if you are more familiar with buying on them: - Ravelry shop: www.ravelry.com/patterns/sources/crochet-arcades-ravelry-store/patterns - Etsy Shop: www.etsy.com/uk/shop/CrochetArcade - Love Crafts shop: www.lovecrafts.com/en-gb/user/maker/acfbb8c8-4c65-492d-b861-84525dea19ed Hope this helps. Thanks for the very cool tutorial!! I found it extremely easy to follow, you did a terrific job. I added an extra row of single crochets to the lower “tray” because my phone kept slipping off if I used it horizontally. Now it works great! I love it!!

You're welcome Sylvia and thank you for a lovely comment. I'm glad you were able to adjust the pattern for your needs. What could maybe also work is making the first ridge using hdc rather then sc or adding less stuffing to the front part.

Just completed my holder. 🤗 Your video was great! I initially started with the written pattern but decided to follow your video and it was much easier. I used Red Heart super saver yarn but should have used a thicker yarn because the holder isn't stiff enough to hold my phone in a vertical position. I'm going to make another one with the thicker yarn and taller back. Thank you for making and posting the video.

Congratulations on the video, this is a beautiful and useful piece. I would like to give you some constructive criticism if you don't mind. As someone who learned how to crochet using the internet, mostly youtube videos, I can tell you that it's more useful to us to show how you do the stitch and where certain stitches go as opposed to the interpretation of the steps. Also, you can do just one or two times any different stitch and fast foward the rest, it makes the video smaller and less difficult to watch. You could just say how many stitches are necessary without going over the instructions since you already know what you're doing. This way it just seems like you're a beginner struggling to understand the recipe and makes the video long and tiring. Maybe putting the number of stitches on the screen can make it easier for bilingual viewers too. Sorry for the long text but video tutorials are super useful for those of us interested in learning and the better the video the easier it is for us. Once again, congratulations on the beautiful work :)

I just bought your pattern for the Panda tablet holder and the rows on the pattern end a little past the middle section of the row I’m working on and then the two SC’s in the next two stitches are at the end of the row? I’ve already restarted this three times being extra careful each time and it still doesn’t make sense and it looks lopsided. I’ll have to revise your pattern instruction and add extra SC’s until I reach the end. So frustrating.
@crochetarcade10 ай бұрын
Hi, we are happy to assist you with this pattern via email as we offer support with all our patterns. Please email us to support@crochetarcade.co.uk with the exact row number that you are struggling with or where something doesn't work out for you and we can send you the video for that row.
@diysy943110 ай бұрын
Not sure if this helps, but after you do the slip stitches, do a stitch marker on the last stitch of the stitch marker and when you come all the way back to it, you skip that one and then you do a slip stitch on the one next to it after that when it comes time to do the final crochets, you skip the slip stitch in the previous round and slip stitch the next one and when you’re working in the round again you skip the slip stitches because they don’t count as stitches and you single crochet all the way around until you get to the top. Also after I finish the rows I have to turn the inside out for the ridges i created to be facing same way i guess i mustve did reverse or something when i did the rows work it was very confusing

What if I use a smaller hook and worsted weight yarn?
@crochetarcade3 жыл бұрын
Hi :) For this pattern, Aneta used Lion Brand Hometown USA yarn, which is a super chunky yarn that calls for a 10mm hook. Aneta already went down 2 mm and used a 8mm hook to minimise the holes. Using a thinner yarn and a much smaller crochet hook will end up with getting a very small holder, even half size of Aneta's, so couldn't serve its purpose. If you would still like to use worsted weight yarn and a smaller hook, you will need to adjust the pattern, to make it bigger. Unfortunately, neither Aneta nor me tried it before, so can't advise about it. Hope this helps ;) Cristina xx

Why in the first row it looks like you are going into just the front loop of the stitch but in the second row you are going through both front and back loops of the stitch? How can I tell if the sc should go into both loops or just the front loop of the stitch?
@crochetarcade4 жыл бұрын
Hi Felicia, sorry for the late reply on this. Normal stitches always go under both front and back loop. The first row is made in the chain and not single crochet sts, so you don't have any other choice but crochet under one loop of a chain. Hope this makes sense.
