what makes the UC time line so timeless is how realistic and human its portrayal of politics and geopolitical issues, and its portrayal of chilldren as the future and how adaults use them to fight wars THEY started is very real in todays context. og gundam is best gundam dont even @ me.

I feel this song is pretty overlooked by Gundam's fanbase despite being, between all the almost endless song catalog of the franchise, one of the themes that are more beautiful and capture the best the essence of Gundam's UC... Such a shame.

The original Gundam show really didn't portray Zeon as _villains_ so much as opponents in an apocalyptic war. They were bad guys, but they weren't out-and-out evil. Most of the really horrible stuff was rather skimmed over. With Origin, they're on par with the Galactic Empire in Star Wars. Sure, there may be some sympathetic characters among them, but those sympathetic characters are still supporting a genocidally evil cause. It really makes factions like the Titans in Zeta Gundam seem much more realistic and sympathetic.
