Thanks for the tutorial! Quick question; the focus does not increase its blur background as how it looks on your device, every time I increase the focus it does not adjust accordingly (although I double tap) how can I fix this? or is there a maximum capacity with this app?

I've learned a lot from watching your videos, thanks for all the sharing. I'm in the midst of shooting a feature length film on my LG V40. It has all the manual controls of filmic pro, so that helps a lot, because I don't think it's compatible with the app. Looking really good thus far. Actually recording audio to an LG V20, which has really good a/d converters, and sync-ing in post. Anyway, thanks again, very informative and so well communicated. Keep up the amazing work.

I have a question if you don't mind. On the frame rate TAB there is an Auto Shutter, 50hz or 60hz shutter. I will probably choose 50hz (i live in Greece). can i change shutter speed later (advanced settings for exposure, ISO, SHUTTER SPEED and APERTURE) without flickering? which method should i follow if i wanna choose 24fps? i would choose 1/50 shutter speed not 1/48, since electricity here in Greece is in 50hz right? thank you!
@SiHorrocks4 жыл бұрын
the 50hz setting just switches Filmic to use multiples of 50 for the shutter speed. 50 - 100 - 200 etc which solves the light strobing in Europe. If you dont have any artificial light in the shot, then you can switch to auto again - 1/48 would be fine in that case

For some reason when I move the focus square when in automatic around the screen the focus doesn’t seem to change. I put a cereal box up close and then have pictures and stuff on my wall. When I move it to something on my wall the cereal box is still focused. Not like your box at all. I’ve watched other videos and it’s the same. I wonder why it is not changing focus. I’m trying to learn the fastest way to capture things I see when I wasn’t planning on filming. To set it up quickly for a good shot.

Sony smartphones aren't the only smartphones that have manual controls for photos and ESPECIALLY video. LG V-series phones have crazy manual controls in their native camera app. Even audio. When I found this out and bought my first LG V-series phone (V35 - V40) i hardly ever used the filmic pro app after that. The native app on LG phones is THAT GOOD.
