Dead soft aluminum gaskets make header life so much easier. Once their tight they never leak and you can reuse them

This is the only video that I’ve seen of the alternator bracket getting cut. 🤙🏽

Hot rodders do it all the time. Have to trim things to make them fit. Not like a little trimming is going to make anything weaker. How guys had dented headers in cars to make them fit. Watch B is for Build or Finnegans Garage ect they do it like every other video it seems.

I have a 90 k1500 4x4 everyone tells me to run shorties or a mid size header..they say the long tubes interfere with the drive shaft and wont fit has anyone ran into that issue?
@loudawg9260 Жыл бұрын
Are these long tubes? I have the same truck and I’m putting long tubes on and I have to change my oil filter and my front driveshaft is in the way of them
@mobilemowers Жыл бұрын
Hello. Short tubes. Long tubes basically go little under the cab. Just what I found in a yard and used.
@morganrichardson18085 жыл бұрын
Did you have to use shorty spark plugs or were your stock style ones fine?
@mobilemowers4 жыл бұрын
Stock. Sorry for late responce I just do this as a hobby and for the past few years of this never made one dime from you tube. They did that 1,000 plus member bs.

I have GMC Sierra SLE K1500, was told I needed a body lift if I wanted headers...
@mobilemowers2 жыл бұрын
Makes no sence. Also the K series have a slight lift from the factory. So how are stock C series able to do it ? Not sure where you read that.

Yes I like to know why why the brand headers was that right there

How did you go about the factory o2 censor or did you just take it out?
@mobilemowers6 жыл бұрын
It came with a bung hole. You need an 02 to run a computer. People can weld bungs in too. They run like $5-$10. Some headers have the bung hole but you may need to drill out the inside hole.
@mobilemowers6 жыл бұрын
You need an 02 for the computer to read fuel mixtures.

How many O2 sensors did your truck have?
@stormtrooper18115 жыл бұрын
emilio torres 88-94 should have one before the cat 95 too I believe 96-2000 depending on your body style will have one before and one after. The one before the cat matters the one after just checks if the cat is working properly.
@emiliotorres28025 жыл бұрын
@@stormtrooper1811 I definitely have an O2 sensor on my passenger side at the y pipe. I can't find another O2 at all. I ordered summit headers that have a bung for an O2 on the driver's side header. If I extend the O2 wire to reach the new position of the sensor should that allow the truck to continue to run properly? I also don't want to throw a code.
