I just replaced my USB. No need to take off the screen, you just need some room and patience to lift the glass up just enough for the buttons. I didn't remove the motherboard either. This video was a big help.

Thank you for this video. I watched another one that was not as good. He told you that you had to heat the phone but didn't show how to do it. Also, most of the time, you couldn't see what he was doing because his head or hand was in the way. Your video shows clearly what to do. I hope to be able to change the charging port on my Note 4 now as well as on my friend's.

This is the best way to do it most people tell you to take the screen off most of the time the LCD will break.

good tutorial . the USB part where you used the stanley blade i found extremely difficult as the USB had become lodged under the opening. patience and heat gun helped. if you have longer nails you can use those to break the seals.

Thanks so much I think I may have left a part of the adhesive pad on the left side, It's not easy to get under that sub saport frame between the glass and frame but it works i just think I may have to check my work or just let it seat. I just replaced screen assembly on a note 9 we bought with cracked screen. Both heat & ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL were needed to soften the glued on back. I used 93% from drug store. I now need to replace the charge port on our 2 note 4's before giving them to a friend. Do you see any reason why I couldn't use ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL & heat to do the replacement?

So i relkaced it according to instructions. I was very careful to not damage the screen in the process. When i put it together i hear the vibration when it starts charging got the bkue ligth in the top, but i have no picture. I turn it on and it seems to be taking charge but i can't see anything on the screen. I connected every cable, what could have gone wrong??

Hi, I have a question. I picked up my phone (note 4) from repair (professional place), charging port replacement. I am not very happy. Entire bottom of the screen is lifted above the frame, it is flexing and home button is below the screen surface. Can something be done with this?, or entire screen has to be replaced. Not only on your video but others too, when I took the back off it looked nothing like this. There was a large copper colour sheet connected to main body of the phone I found it impossible to remove the light grey coloured backing frame & ended up destroying the phone.....

Hi. I just replaced the power, home, volume and charging port on my Note 4. The only real issue was the power button but I decided to just change everything while I was inside. Now everything works (even the S Pen) but now the touch screen doesn't work. I've checked all the connections several times. Any idea what the issue could be?

replaced charging port now back button and blue indicator light but no picture on screen, it even vibrates and can hear noise when volume button is pushed? but wont light up, battery came with phone powerbear 3220mah, cant get it to enter any mode bottom button or top? could battery be bad. voltage meter shows 4.22V, please say battery is bad!

Its the LCD connector to the motherboard. You have to position it just right or you get digitizer and LCD problems.

Nice.. I think I noticed you 4got to put the screw back on for the daughterboard port. I was gonna use this video but I just thought the phone I was gonna fix won't turn on at all. Even with different battery and cords. Outlet and USB not work. She said the phone just sat overnight. She forgot to charge it that night then when she woke up.. the phone was dead. She mentioned a previous thing she noticed with the phone making a noise. Sounds like the power connected noise over and over again at times. I guess replacing the motherboard is basically a new phone....

After chaning the micro USB board, fast charging not appears. And the charging is very slow. Slower than normal charging. Perhaps only 400mA, 500mA "safety charging"?!? Slower charging than discharging with active system and energy safe mode O_o.
