I’ve installed the dead bolt but the mechanism is not smooth, it feels stuck. I can easily turn the lock by hand but once this back on the knob sticks, not sure to what or how.

Mine works Bas ackwards! I need to punch the code to lock and hit the lock to unlock. If I flip the bolt over so that the up side is down, that would work except the slot is no longer centered and everything is misaligned. HELP!

I bought one, installed. I programed my code, it does work, BUT the factory/default code still working also, ... what do I have to do so the factory code doesn't work anymore???

Sine you other Locke's were quikset you could have just changed all your locks to the defiant key right?

I put the code in and it unlock , but if some one hits the enter button Again it will lock is that normal if so I don’t like that . I rather put the code back in to lock it

Is there an auto lock feature? Thought maybe the lock would lock itself after a minute or so but maybe not?

I have installed the keypad. But the problem is everytime I do the instruction to get a new master code, everytime I enter the default master code and then press the lock button it's always making the lock go out and in and out and in. It never gives a me a chance the change the master code. What do you think it is? I tried contacting the manufacturer and all they did was try to walk through the steps with me, which was useless. Never tried to tell me what the problem was and how to solve it.

@@MobileTechMatters I did that! I reinserted the battery and held the set button until there was a long beep. Then I pressed the set button. Then I punched in the default master code, pressed lock, and it did it again! After it was done doing that, I tried punching in 1, 0 (to continue the steps on changing it), but the lock button went beep, beep, beep, almost as it the programming mode ended. This sucks!

@@MobileTechMatters Oh, I solved it. I just entered the default master code WHILE the electronic component was not inserted into that slot. Then I think it was finally able to complete the installation. Then I tried pressing the lock button, and it started locking, which wasn't possible before. It also helps to make sure that when you lock it, you have to hear a click sound and then try to push it with your fingers to make sure it doesn't move, which means it's working.

cascade mcfly You can program in a new master code. I just installed a newer updated defiant lock similar to this one!

your directions for programming aren't clear at all. you don't explain when you are reaching behind and pushing the button, and we can't see that. whenever I follow your directions the lock flashes red and I get an alarm tone.
