It can, but you would have to retro-fit something on to the bar, there is no accessory for it that would act as a tow-cart. I recommend using the cane holder tube attachment and adding a bar that is secured to a beach cart, that is what I did in this video with another model: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5-8hKRvhMR_hLM

can you add supports to the rear of the scooter so that it doesn't tip over backwards (as protection, so to speak) like with the other models.

If you are looking for anti-tip wheels on this scooter, it's probably not for you. Sorry for the blunt honesty, but you may want to consider a class 2 medical scooter.

A Suspension upgrade, ride quality upgrade with COG modification to the design. Dampening system for steering console, integrated into the tie-rods with springs and piston system. A newer HDC seat post that is sturdier, frame color option. Last but not least, the name has the number 2 at the end. hehehehe

Outdoors & offroad is the dominion of gas engine ATVs, imho.

Yeah but for our customers, this is a safer alternative. Automatic brakes, and very stable. Not too fast, but powerful enough to have fun.
