When I heard from Banggood that they were going to start offering the Ticwatch 2 for sale from Chink, I thought it must be a different watch than the one we have all heard about but couldn't afford. When it turned out to be the real Ticwatch 2, I was super excited.
In one month, Jul 26 2016 - Aug 25 2016, this watch concept on Kickstarter raised over $2 million from almost 10,000 backers and was, at the time, the most well known concept watch, especially for its 'tickle' spot.
Now one year later it is HERE, and it is available for order from CHINA directly from our awesome partner, Banggood.
There is so much to say about this watch. It's really well designed, fully polished operating system, and detailed in everything it does. Today's video gives you a glimpse of this watch. As far as the watch faces goes, there are android wear watch faces that will sync to the watch from the android store on the phone, Also you can get the Watchmaker app from the Mobvoi store and android app store (it will sync to the watch if you have it set up correctly). Also, a tip to take screen shots of the watch you just tap the crown twice. If you tap the crown 3 times it will go full bright for 5 seconds for outdoor viewing (preserves battery that way). Also, if you place your hand over the screen it will go into ambient mode (it has a proximity sensor). There are many more tips and tricks too.

You can install some Android apps on it. You have to turn on the developer mode and turn on 1024 mode. Not all of them will sync, but there are some wear apps that work. I don't use any though, what comes on the watch works great for me. So far only android wear apps that don't need to be synced with the phone will work, they have to be independent apps or watch faces. Use watchmaker if you like to get fancy with the faces.

So I had to get one. Just what I needed. Another watch! But I have elevated this watch to my #1 dd. I don't use any preloaded watch faces. I uninstalled most of them. Instead, enabling dev mode and 1024 through the phone app syncs wear faces I have picked up through the years including watchmaker. Through watchmaker everything is much better for what I like.

You can make it through a day and a half with average use with no problems. I use mine with ambient mode on all day from 9am to past midnight, and I go to bed with 30%+ of power left (this is also with (3) med brightness). I don't use the tickle strip or the voice activation so I leave them off in the settings. And only reason it's at 30% is because I go to the gym and use the workout apps on the phone, or I might go for an outdoor run (GPS and the Heart monitor takes up more power).
