Nice and simple thank you! I’m fairly new especially to electric guitar.. are you using a particular pedal for this song? Im having a hard time getting that sound..
@247GuitarwithHowardHart Жыл бұрын
Hi - I'm using the Sonicake Rude Mouse distortion pedal :-)

What do you have your tele plugged into? I have a new Professional II Telecaster, but it does not sound like yours for me to practice this lesson. Thanks

It's running thru a Rude Mouse distortion pedal, into an Orange Crush RT20 amp :-)
@AngelMartinez-qs3cf2 жыл бұрын
Are you using the same Orange amp? Any pedals you are using to get that great sound? You sound like the record!
@247GuitarwithHowardHart2 жыл бұрын
Hi - The performance was done using a Mesa/Boogie DC-3 amp... and the tutorial is with the Orange amp. You can actually hear the tonal difference between the two. The Boogie is too loud for tutorials lol!

Is the Tab on riff 2 correct, tab shows 4th string or 1 3 1 3 s/b on A string right? Love the lesson Howard. Thinking about lessons with you. You Rock!! Thank you!
@247GuitarwithHowardHart2 жыл бұрын
Hi - the tab is correct. Pull off 5.3.0 on the D string, then 1.3.1.3.1 on the A string. FYI - I'll be making a few lesson spots available in just a day or two. There will only a few openings. I'll post a video with details in a day or so.

Hi Howard, Since the open D tuned string is used so little, why did Page go to the trouble of tuning to open D?
@247GuitarwithHowardHart2 жыл бұрын
Hi - It isn't an actual Open D tuning... just Drop D tuning. I'm guessing he just wanted the "power house" feel of that low D in the riff?
