As an early Moby fan his early work was mostly underground electronic/dance so unless into clubbing it probably wouldn't be heard. It somewhat detracts from the genre when adapted to commercial markets. But have to make money ultimately. More likely to be relatable if out having a good time out dancing. He also has lots of ambient and also harder stuff that fully commit to a style. This in between genres or adaptations of genres doesn't seem to hit ... but he has a lot of great material spanning several decades.
