This is one of those Moby's songs that will never be a chart hit, but for true fans and sensitive souls it always will be a unique treasure! So emotional, so sad and deep...

In all the years of musical history, and all the songs that have ever been written, how does Moby come out of the blue and write a song that just stops me in my tracks and brings tears to my eyes? I try to imagine a more beautiful song and it just doesn't even seem humanly possible... thank you Moby. You've given me so many gifts and memories over the years through your music and this is the best one yet.

I love this song so much.. The feeling I get from this song, I just can’t put it into words. Chills all over me.. It’s some kind of trance/vibe that goes right thru you. Her beautiful voice keeps repeating in my head.. Does it mean nothing? Does it mean something? I can listen to this song all day long.. In my opinion this is maybe the best song ever made.. And I have listened to millions of songs. Thanks Moby for making this piece of art. Music at his best!

Here are the lyrics if anyone is interested: We heard the rain on the window Like a sinful waste of time We heard the sirens wailing Like the world had lost its smile We spend our days together Hiding far from everything Oh we knew it was over When the summer turned to spring All the words we said All the time we spent Does it mean nothing Does it mean nothing All the words we said All the time we spent Does it mean nothing? Does it mean nothing? We heard the rain on the window Like a simple waste of time We heard the sirens wailing I knew they'd comfort you We spend our days in heaven Dying far with everything Oh we knew it was over When the needle didn't sting And all the words we said All the time we spent Does it mean nothing? Does it mean nothing? All the words we said All the time we spent Does it mean nothing? Does it mean something? Does it mean something? Does it mean something? Does it mean something? Does it mean something? Does it mean something? Does it mean something? Does it mean something? Does it mean something?

Great song.... This song fills so good with that picture, the girl moving so fast... Like the world that we live in, while Moby stands there, alone, watching how the world keeps on moving, so fast that he can´t even see it clearly... Maybe we need to see the things from a different point of view.

i cant even listen to this anymore.. i use songs like this to attach to emotion and use as anchors to emotion..and i got this song in the last month of highschool a few months ago.. it was depressing because i had so much stress and work to do, and this song was so beautiful, and still is..but i cant listen to it anymore because it brings back so much emotion for me i cant take it.. im not an emotional person, but this song is amazing.

J'ai été surpris .en ayant la première chanson "Study War" c'est où je viens de découvrir ce Grand Monsieur: Moby...with a Greats Songs. This a Wonderful way. Thank's.

Amooooo 🥰

This song was on a movie or tv show recently and I can't remember what. I was listening to "first cool hive" and this automatically played next. I couldn't shut it off it brought me back to an old familiar feeling, then I remembered I'd heard it before. Tried looking it up and can't find it but I want to go back to whatever movie or show it was in and see the context that they chose to play it in. If anyone happens to remember please let me know. Also, your moms, all of them.

It most likely means junkies like to fxxk. This song is about drug abuse that happened a lot around Moby when he was a teenager. So the “needle didn’t stink””does it mean nothing”part makes sense now cause for the junkies the pleasure seems to last forever but from our perspective their lives are simply fading away.
