I am a 65 year old lady who discovered Moby through the Bourne films. During the COVID pandemic I was diagnosed with lung cancer. My only family are in Italy, I live in the UK and felt very alone. Throughout surgeries and treatment Moby’s music gave me such strength and comfort. I am so grateful there are artists of his talent in the world. Thank you all for your kind thoughts, they have touched me deeply. I wish everyone good health, happiness and peace. ❤️

It was 2000 and I was in year 9 (Aussie here) and I bought the PLAY CD at HMV... I would take a train to school everyday and for an hour I would have it on repeat. This song alone would be played at 6-7am sitting on the train watching all the houses go by thinking where I’ll be when I’m an adult. I’m now 36 with 2 boys and this song still gets me every time. Oh wow. I thought I was the only one... That song really just reminds me of the good times of the past And I'm naturally a very nostalgic person And whenever I hear a song from the past I instantly feel those feelings really intensely. It's a hard feeling to describe Because since it's so specific But what you had just described Is EXACTLY how I feel about "Porcelain". If I had to pick a song that describes me, I'd most definitely pick that song. It's one of my favorite songs of all time.

This song is older than me, but now being an adult while hearing this and various other songs at random points in my life feels a bit strange... although I never feel strong emotions with music like some other people do it definitely feels nice to hear something you used to hear in the past again. I was 20 when this was released, that Moby - Play, was the soundtrack of that summer. Remember working on a fast food restaurant making money for buying a ticket for a music festival with my friends by the sea in Benicassim, Spain. We were young, unstoppable, fearless, happy, innocent, nothing to lose, all green lights, exploring, discovering, the sea, the sun, the beach, love, sex, getting high, more love, living the present, absorbing each second, squeezing life... This songs always take me back to those particular and priceless moments like it was yesterday, I feel it in my guts. Actually, there were some moments in my life it was hard to listen to this song. It's one of those, you know what I mean. Even though I'm happy with my actual living some tears have rolled down my cheeks remembering those days. Thanks Moby for making so beautiful songs and melodies.

The musical intelligence of Moby is formidable. I bought the Reprise album at the second that it was released. Vinyl, of course. It is hard to not feel a single emotion at all at any of the songs, the Reprise album touches something deep in a person and takes you to a place uncharted in your mind for a little while. What else to say, than this is one of the best albums I have in my collection thank you Moby for this beautiful voyage and hitting me right there where I thought I did build thick walls, only to see them crippled by a few simple words and rhythms throughout the whole Reprise album and make it so special it edges my mind in ways I couldn’t imagine.

Today, I heard this version for the first time, and it's like a bittersweet bookend to something I will never be able to explain.

Dziwne, ta przepiękna muzyka towarzyszy mi zawsze kiedy jestem bardzo smutna. Lubię piękne rzeczy i zawsze słuchając tego utworu wyobraźnia podsuwa mi cieniutką porcelanę, którą delikatnie dotykam, czując jej przyjemny chłód i kruchość.

When the piano starts, it made me cry. Beautiful, I usually hate "remixes" but this work is amazing.
