Thats a really fast translation! Thank you AngelSubs ❤❤❤ This is my personal understanding of the song, so analysis paragraph i guess? The ice cream in this song actually drugs, so this song is about drug addiction. The girl was curious and convinced to try drugs, maybe due to it being offered to her with a discount (?) and also hearing that it brings happiness (yknow, drugs releasing dopamine). She probably has depression, as alluded by the line "I want something strong for the bitter end, that freezes your brain forever". She wanted her brain to stay frozen in a happy state and took drugs to maintain this state. Her screaming and proclaiming her love for ice cream is literally her being dependent on drugs and always craving it. From some of the japanese comments I see in the original video's comments (translated by google translate ofc), the line "don't store it at room temperature because it'll melt away" might actually says to not put your drugs in an open space, for someone will take it away from you. The line "frivolous tasting, a flavorful fast fashion" probably points to the fact that the rush of dopamine from drugs that gets you high feels wonderful, yet it will quickly pass and leaves you consuming more and more (like fashion trends, fast fashion companies pumping out lots of clothes of sometimes questionable quality). "yes, yes, yes, i'm sick of it, it's so cold. I'll get tired of eating it eventually" is probably the girl convincing herself that she will get off from drugs, yet still consuming it anyways. The part "it's so cold" might refer to the lower amount of dopamine release, as dopamine that is released by drugs couldn't be recycled by the body, thus reducing the overall amount of dopamine in her body (extra information that dopamine released with normal ways can be recycled by the body). She became dependent on the drugs to feel happy, and as the excitement from drug consumption reduces, she feels less and less satisfied. "It'll all melt away" is most likely her knowing that even though she feels excitement from consuming the drugs, she knows that it is actually temporary. "if there's an end, I shouldn't have started it. In these frozen words, algae has begun to spread." she is regretting doing drugs, and yet knows that she couldn't stop that easily. the dopamine no longer hits like it used to the first time she consumes drugs, and she started to neglect other aspects of her life and her emotional needs. ice cream is normally written as アイス(aisu/ice). ice is also what they call crystal methamphetamine, which i dont know if thats intentional but a nice detail that supports this theory (also sorry for being so late lol)

I think it’s about the negative side of popular internet trends, or just fads and trends in general actually, and the girl in the mv follows them and obsessed over trends for popularity, likely an influencer of sorts , but has gotten sick of the changing so much the constant changing of ice cream flavor, and how fast the girl tries to finish it, are all similar to how you need to catch on to the trend quickly or else it’ll be gone soon. “Everyone’s favorite ice cream” -the latest thing everyone like “Don’t stick it in room temperature or else it’ll melt” -if a trend goes on for too long people loose interest in it “Because it’ll get a half price sticker slapped on to it” -Trends that fall off, despite being loved before, will quickly loose it’s value(discounted by half price), “the company’s efforts will remain a secret, I’m stuck hoping”-even if people spent a lot of time working on them(the company’s efforts will remain a secret). You can only hope for the trend to come back. (I’m stuck hoping) “It’s only a mild drug, a trip that drips down your cheek(or delicious based on one of the other comments)” -it’s only a small satisfaction(mild drug), but trends will give you happiness someway or another(drips down your check/delicious) “I want something strong for the bitter end, that freezes your brain forever” -this is where the girl seems to be expressing her thoughts of wishing for a trend that will last forever so she can forever attract attention “Frivolous tasting, a flavorful fast fashion” -this one is self explanatory, she’s basically describing how short and sweet these trends are “Yes yes yes I’m sick of it it’s so cold” also kinda self explanatory, she’s tired of following trends The next entire loading sequence and then the emphasis of “it’ll melt away” is probably jsut her doing all these trends over and over and slowly growing more and more tired Now in this part of this mv she’s shown holding a knife and a pair of scissors. My best guess is that they represent her trying to cut herself out of these trends, or her inner thoughts “If there’s an end I shouldn’t have started it” -she’s at her breaking point, she can’t keep up anymore. I don’t know if the first sentence is a mistranslation, so I’ll say it both ways. If the first part meant “where is the end, I shouldnt have started it” she’s looking an end of this, she’s regretting doing this in the first place OR if it’s literally then it might mean that she established herself as a trendsetter but regrets it “In these words algae has spread” -it’s becoming all the same to her “Spoiled so sweetly” the sequence is suddenly cut off and now we’re back to black screen that transforms it back to normal.
