I just went to the comments to see if anyone else thought Angela was surprisingly funny. I don't think she took body pump classes, but comedy classes instead. Nish is still not funny though.

@Eric Burkheimer Every country (that I know of) has a proportion of non-navtive comedians. They are seldom actually funny. A few "I am different from you" puns is the best you can hope for. In most panel shows it will trigger others to make jokes about these difference too. Seldom above the obvious stereotype references. Henning Wehn, for example, always gets WW2 jabs. And if he doesn't, he will make some himself.

It was a chuckle brother joke because Barry recently passed it was only half the phrase “to me” from “to me to you” because you need both to complete it, I laughed at first and then was immediately met with sadness

Chucklevision went from 1987 to 2009 in the UK - so several generations (including myself) grew up watching the Chuckle Brothers - To me, To you was the most famous of their catch phrases. It's a funny joke, it just cuts deep into my childhood.

@@littlesunshine9218 I'm extra late, but to explain, there was a popular children's show in the UK called Chucklevision. The focus of the show was the silly antics of two bumbling brothers, Paul and Barry. The show ran for 22 years. The show had multiple catchphrases, some of which were bounced between the brothers every episode, the most well known being what they chanted whenever they were carrying anything. "To me!" - "To you!" - "To me!" - "To you!" - etc. In August 2018, shortly before this episode, one of the brothers died, leaving the remaining brother utterly distraught. Hence the response to the joke.

A little quibble. Kenya's in East Africa and was subject to Arab conquest and slave trading; not European. The Portuguese did start buying their slaves from there later on but only because the British Royal Navy had put a stop to the Atlantic Slave Trade.

Ger it’s about the Chuckle Brothers. They had a children’s TV show called Chucklevision, and their popular line was when they’d say to each other “to me, to you”. One of them died last year, and so the joke was the other one saying “to me”, but getting no response.
