Just purchased the single Mockingbird for my baby due in a month and I love it! It looks heavy but it’s not really. So easy to maneuver and if you buy any additional accessories they are so easy to switch! (I bought the bassinet, infant insert & car seat adapter) Absolutely beautiful stroller and everything was under $600! Can’t beat that!

I bought the single in September. Best purchase I made for my second child, for sure. I wished there was a double option then, but my oldest child was phasing out of strollersanyway. I received so many compliments on it. If you’re looking for a top of the line full size stroller, this is it! I know there were some folks upset that the old stroller isn’t compatible with the second seat and many has just purchased the single. Mockingbird did comment on their Facebook page to contact them, maybe they’ll offer a discount or refund on the single or, they have a 30 day no questions asked return policy- so awesome. It’s hard to buy a stroller with unseen, but I promise this one is amazing. Thanks Dad_Verb for another great review!

Thanks for the video! I think people will still choose the UppaBaby Vista because it’s a luxury brand. This is a great budget friendly stroller, but if you choose the Vista, it’s because you love the brand, similar to people who buy luxury cars even though all cars drive.

I ordered the mockingbird double and then canceled it after a couple days... I have a 15mo and a newborn and I want my toddler to be able to face forward which isn’t an option on there set up sheet. We are going to save up and splurge on an uppa baby Vista when spring hits instead. We can make due with our colugo compact and a baby carrier until then

Steve the AMT It’s annoyingly at first but you get used to it fast. We had to do it a lot with both the Vista and Minu adapters.

Hi I'm looking for a stroller that has the wheels all in the same line any suggestions? I hate when u have the two front wheels of the strollers narrow and the 2 back wheels more wide (every time I push my nephews, i end up bumping badly as I forget that the back tyres are wide and cant fit through narrow spaces like the front tyres. So I'm confused about your comment about having to take off the adapters when you fold it down. I messaged and asked Mockingbird if that was true and this was their response: "Hi there! Thanks for asking -- You can actually fold the stroller with both seats attached, as long as they are forward facing! Hope that helps!"

Technically you can, but for me it's impossible to get it into the trunk of our Civic without removing the lower adapters.

How are the toddler seats in terms of height? I find with my daughter (average height, 25 lbs, 2.5 years) that she is nowhere near approaching the weight limit, but is already close to outgrowing due to height.

I know this is an older video but is it possible to find out the dimensions of the seat? I know it’s 20” from seat to top but leg space? Mom of 4, ages 15 down to 13 months, and I have literally never heard of Mockingbird before! And that's saying something! I can name just about any stroller or car seat from the last 15 years by sight, and this is the first I've ever heard of this entire brand! Question is, do they offer Maxi Cosi adapters? I'm driving a $400 minivan (gotta love auctions!), I'm not paying more for a stroller than I did for my vehicle. I tend to shop the resale market so I can indulge my champagne taste without busting my beer budget (not for car seats as I'm an expired CPST, but I HAVE spent more on a car seat than the vehicle it was meant to go into cost!), but a used City Select double goes for about the same as what this is new. I think this must have popped up in my feed because I was looking into the growing strollers in case we decide to start trying for #5, and a double would be absolutely necessary if we have that fifth one any time soon.

The frame of the Mockingbird is about the same weight as the Vista so it's about 3-4lbs heavier than your Cruz. The seats are about equal.

Hey Dad Verb! Love this video; I actually received (and assembled) today the Single-to-Double Stroller. Overall, I have to say, I was disappointed. I had high hopes and expectations that were not met. The biggest complaint being the when the upper seat is front-facing (meaning baby faces away), I could not fully recline it with ease. The plastic lever the reclines/uprights the seat hit the plastic button on the handlebar (the one used to fold up the stroller). I have watched, oh I dunno, about 10 or so KZbin videos and it seems no one else has this problem. I am wondering if either I received a "lemon" or if Mockingbird provided a superior product for these other reviewers? Anyway, the other thing I want to let parents looking into this stroller know is that when the seats are fully reclined, this stroller is LONG. I measured and from the handlebar (where I push) to the forward part of the stroller (the fully reclined bottom second seat) and it is about 60"! That is a boat! Anyway, just sharing my opinion, but thought it might help other soon-to-be parents. Thanks!

You had high hopes due to the similarity to the uppa vista or i might be wrong. it'is a brand new brand who just copied a high end brand. They went for the looks again copying the uppababy. low quality, alot of plastic parts

@@LeoDube9 Low quality? You must not have actually used one. The Vista hands down has better fabrics and more metal but that doesn’t make the Mockingbird cheap. If you ever used a Graco or any off brand stroller you would know the difference. Mockingbird is filling that middle ground for parents who want a stylish stroller but don’t want to spend 1K on a stroller. I don’t think the two should be compared. Compare it to the Colugo strollers or even the Baby Joggers which are also better priced and sturdy but not as “luxurious looking”. Ps Mockingbird has a lifetime warranty so I’m confident they trust their product to hold up.

I would suggest going and playing with them at Nordstrom’s. I have the Demi grow and it’s great. Also considered the vista for a second but wanted seats that could carry the most weight and not have one that had a 35lbs weight capacity and the other 50lb. That was my main reason for getting the nuna Demi grow. They are both smooth and easy to drive. I felt the Demi grow also doesn’t feel as long front to back-obviously because the seats are on top and bottom of each other. So it’s going to be a matter of preference and feel.

Hi love your channel. Im having another baby in November and currently have a two year old daughter. We have the uppababy minu. Do u think we should still buy a double stroller? Was originally looking for the vista but not really looking to have another big stroller. Thats why i sold my cruz and bought a minu. What are your suggestions? Do i still need a double stroller? I definitely think it's helpful to have a stroller for your two year old. My three year old still uses a stroller for long walks, trips into town, or traveling. Something to think about is baby wearing your little one and putting two year old in stroller when out together until baby can sit up on their own and getting a double umbrella stroller.

I'm stuck between the Nuna Demi Grow, and Uppa Baby Vista, I'd get the vista if both seats had the same weight limit, or the Nuna if the basket wants completely lost, i have a nuna mixx now, and i love how buttery smooth it is. this is a contender because of the price. whats the return policy on these i wonder. i would love to try it but would be so mad if i didnt like it.

Personally, I’m more partial to using infant seats and then eventually transitioning to the toddler seat when they’re bigger. I like the convenience of not having to buckle/unbuckle when going from car to stroller.

Indeed they're plastic and feel about the same as Uppa's. They're pretty sturdy though and I don't think they'll break very easily.

Haven't played around with double strollers yet but are due with #2 in dec. Currently have the nuna tavo (LOVE) and I'm able to steer it really with one hand while walking my dog. For one-handed operation I'd say the Vista is top of the class because of it's larger wheel circumference. The single mode, the Mockingbird does well, but in double it's a bit more rigid.

No you can’t... I’ve been looking into this as well. I’m going with the evenflo pivot xpand because of that factor. My toddler loves looking at everything and just wouldn’t be happy staring at the back of the car seat. 🤷🏼‍♀️ they really need to make this more known to parents because I think its a pretty big deal. But you can tell just by looking at their cheat sheet that it won’t work unfortunately. I really wanted this stroller too. So disappointed.

I’ll let you guys know. Im guessing it may depend on the size of your car seat. Looks like it’s definitely not possible with the bassinet though.

I'm wondering the same thing! There is a picture on their website that shows a car seat up top and the toddler seat down below facing forward. Although, despite this picture on the website, this exact configuration isn't shown in their configuration list. I don't want to purchase without confirming! Hey Ana! I know this may be a little late of a reply for you, but sharing in case other viewers have the same question. We JUST (as in June 2021!) updated the adapters in our 2nd Seat Kit to allow for this seating arrangement -- infant up top in a car seat parent-facing with the toddler on bottom facing out. You were certainly not alone in wanting this :) and we're super excited to be able to make it a possibility now.

Any idea what would be the best car seat to pair with this stroller? We were looking at peg perego, but adapters aren’t available...

We used the Britax B-Safe Ultra. The most popular pairings I see are Nuna Pipa Lite and Chicco KeyFit 30.

Hey Andrew! Curious to know which single-to-double stroller you'd choose: the Evenflo Pivot Xpand Modular Travel System OR the Mockingbird Single-to-Double Stroller? I LOVE the fact that the adapters from single to double are built into the Evenflo and thus is one less thing you have to remember to bring (or lose) but wondering about whose construction is better -especially the wheels (on grass/rougher terrain) and overall maneuverability. Thank you for your great video reviews -they've been incredibly helpful for expecting parents like me who've anguished over which stroller to get (currently oscillating btwn these two and the Nuna Demi Grow). I have the same exact question! I'm concerned about the Evanflo's build quality. I've heard that the car seat can be a bit of a pain. The other I've considered is the Peg Perego Ypsi. But the Mockingbird is a definite consideration.

I’ve read that both the mocking and uppababy are difficult to maneuver and push when two kids are loaded. did you find one to be easier to handle than the other?

The vista is not difficult to maneuver or push IMO. I haven’t tried the mockingbird so I’m not sure about that one.

Do you know if you need the infant insert or can you use the seat in a reclined position for newborn?

With the infant insert, you can recline it and use it for newborns but we’re personally more partial to using infant car seats.

For me, yes. Fully loaded with two kids though, I'll say it's a bit tough to turn with one hand. Most full-size doubles will feel stiff if you're only using one hand though.

Gosh I loved the mockingbird but really wanted something capable of converting to a double. So I researched and researched and was totally set on the evenflo pivot xpand... and now I’m torn. Lol I would love to see something comparing the two!

Charelle Strachan I think I might still be leaning towards evenflo just because I wouldn’t have to buy anything else until the youngest outgrows the car seat. So for $350-$400 we are good for the foreseeable future. With the mockingbird we would still have to buy a car seat on top of the $395

Both are great but from an unbiased perspective I’d say you’re getting more bang for the buck by going Evenflo because it’s $400 and it includes their SafeMax car seat and doesn’t require adapters. I think the Mockingbird feels stronger and more tactile, but Evenflo is the better deal.

I purchased the pivot xpand last year as I was expecting my second and returned immediately for the main reason that my toddler was way too tall for it. Poor thing couldn’t lay back properly because the canopy is sewn to the back of the seat. I really wish stroller companies didn’t do that.
