The people at the dam and the loggers knew they’d potentially die trying to fight back. They all sacrificed themselves for the bigger cause. I don’t think it was necessarily a dumb thing to do. They just had to believe their actions would make a difference in the revolution.

@@AwesomeUSMovies man I can see your side of better plans but when you take into consideration at this time they are all being monitored and policed by the peacekeepers all most non stop so in my opinion they really had little room to devise a better plan

@@AwesomeUSMovies I agree with you, there were better plans. This series as a whole, like most YA series, is full of questionable and sometimes illogical moments and outright bad decisions, to be honest.

@@AwesomeUSMovies the districts are very poor and have no weapons so they can only do acts of rebellion with what they have. And often what they have is each other and their sheer number advantage

You should give Katniss a break. At this point, she doesn't really want a relationship with either of them. Gayle is her oldest friend and hunting partner. They helped each other and their families survive. Her relationship with Peta was forged under the most horrific of circumstances. She pretended to be in love with him in order to survive the games. The bread Peta took a smack in the face from his mother to give her, saved her life and gave her some hope. She didn't ask these boys to fall in love with her. Oh, and she's only 17, seen/done things no human should have to see and do and she's the reluctant face of a revolution. Cut her some slack!

Also she is brain damaged from all the fights and hits to the head as well as being deaf in one ear from the explosion in the first movie right before Rue was killed. She really wasn't thinking about either that way and was kissing Gael because she thought that would help him.

He's in the wheelchair because he was electrocuted and slammed back first into the ground, during the final moments of the games in the previous film

The way they showed Peta deteriorating was very disturbing, and the rebellion was very well done, and really increased the action. Can’t wait for you to watch the last installment

Hope you'll do more Woody Harrelson movies. Even though he doesn't have a major part in it, he's terrific in "No Country For Old Men" from 2007. You'd recognize Tommy Lee Jones (from The Fugitive) in there too. Also, President Snow is Donald Sutherland, the dad of Kiefer Sutherland (whom you now recognize from Stand By Me, A Few Good Men, and The Lost Boys).

It was very disappointing to see you laughing at the brave folks who sacrificed their lives to blow up that dam. They knew they would likely die but the revolution is HERE and we MUST fight. No matter how many times I see this I get chills and tears sting my eyes. I’ve been a fan since I read these books 15 years ago.

Sorry about that, I was just struck but what an awful strategy it was. I'm just shocked that they had access to very large bombs but didn't have access to simple munitions. I agree it was unfortunate that they had to die in such a horrible way.

It's a raw reaction from a person that isn't completely enveloped into the series. Plus not everyone has the same upbringing and life development, which is very important considering reacting to such specific moments.

@@AwesomeUSMovies it wasn’t an awful strategy. I’m sure if they’d had another way to accomplish blowing the dam they would have used it. The only way was to sacrifice themselves by running headlong into gunfire and bombing the dam . 100% heroic, IMO.

@@PhedreTheParamour What an entitled, whiny and touchy person you are. It was an awful strategy, they could have gone through the water below the bridge and achieved the same result with less casualties. That nonsense was just for cheap dramatic effect. Heroism and stupidity are often mistaken.

Yeah, a lot of people complain about that, but I really enjoyed watching all the propaganda and stuff they show in this movie. I like how they show the other things that go into winning a war and not just the action

I know what you mean, but I think the slower pace works in these movies. It shows the seriousness and psychological toll of being powerless in a war a lot better than a bunch of action would have.
