sir, I am a mechanical engineer but i wanted to learn for rockets and space from my childhood, unfortunately, it was not possible for me. but thanks to you as I could fulfill my dream by you. thanks a lot for such a great video

You wanted to learn about rockets or space ... Both are different things... One is boring and one is interesting....atleast for me... I was and I'm still curious about in black holes... The stars .... Origin of universe... But my parents were not ready to get me into bsc college because two people in my family are MSc Physics and that too from Delhi university but they are still not earning and for this reason my parents said choose between medical and engineering... I opted for medical but my curiosity didn't die and I am still learning about space... I read upto fundamentals of quantum mechanics... Will now start to explore more stuff ... Knowledge can be learnt by anyone... And courses on nptel are so good...and after the course end i solve numericals from standard books to make my concept even stronger ..

I m greek but i think prof. Ramamurthi is a bit wrong about the etymology of the word 'Propulsion' PRO (προ) is greek and he s right about it but PELLERE is latin and it means "to beat against, push, strike, rouse, expel". (Latins borrowed "PRO" from greeks so it stayed the same) We could assume that the word Pro-Pulsion comes from PULSE which could derive from the greek word PALMOS (which has the same meaning). But you can search it further if you re interested in etymology. As about the MilkyWay (Galaxias) name, yes it comes from greek mythology as follows: Hera was breastfeeding Hercules to make him immortal, but when she was informed that he s the bastard son of Zeus he pushed him away and from her spilled milk Galaxy was created. There are other myths involving Sun (Helios) and Faethon. And a little greek joke about professor's name: "ama mu'rthi" in greek means "if it comes to me/if it comes to my mind") lol With a great respect to professor of course :)
