Mod Review-Symbiotic Settlements

Settlement building mods come and go but this mod right here is an underrated gem. And for the space it did everything right! It's 2022 and I still use this mod as a LO staple

Greetings, first of all thank you for the review of my mod. Just as a headsup, I updated Symbiotic Settlements to version 1.6.8, which will most likely be the last version for a while. The mod now also includes things like a decontamination shower, doors, floors, lights (some of which snap to my brick walls), a stackable foundation, a special prefab (the supply tower) which you can snap both the panels, the rain gutter barrels, the guard post and a planter to, as well as a few new workshops for your settlers (producing concrete and radroach/molerat meat). I think about 160 assets should be enough for now, I already added way more stuff than I initially anticipated.

44WarmocK77, Thank you! I recently moved from Xbox to PC, and of course downloaded your great mod. If it wasn't for mod authors like yourself, this game would not be as relevant as it is today. Guys like you keep this game alive and interesting. Like most Fallout 4 players, I'm grateful to you guys for all your hard work and dedication. Well, make sure to check out the other mods of the collection as well so the quest mod doesn't feel so useless. ;) I updated Eisenwolf's Energy Weapons and the totally Safe MediPack some time ago and I still need some feedback about whether the numbers are right or not, and whether the Zappah works halfway as intended (still kinda buggy, but that's to be expected since I'm trying to add something to this game which never was anticipated in the first place).

I will definitely check out the other mods in the series. As a side note, I love using the Fafnir on mirelurks and their spawn. Never bothered using a flamer before that. ;D

It Disney work for me it says I need a certain perk to make the stuff and I completed the quest and non of the stuff are showing up what do I do

Man, thanks so much! I'm getting a gaming PC soon I play on the PS4 and I wanna look at some mods. I saw this mod on a guy called Oxhorn's channel, but he didn't do it in full detail, but you did. I appreciate that, +1 sub and like. :)

Good video. I've been using it for quite a while now and like using the roof and fireplace pieces from Cabin in the Woods and the scratched pieces from Modern Kitchens.

Ferris Mueller, thank you! Yes, mixing and matching different pieces from different mods makes some interesting builds and helps us avoid building the same old boring thing every time. Those roof pieces seem perfect. :)

I downloaded this mod a couple of weeks ago but for some reason the toilets and sinks simply won't work. Installed the sewage plant and it clatters but nothing happens at the tap.

lewisner, its been quite awhile since I used this mod. I'm now on PC and have access to many other mods. I don't remember if the toilet and sink actually had the animation or not. When I got the mod I was more interested in the solar panels. You may want to check out your load order to see if that is the problem. Other than that, I don't know what else it might be. Sorry I can't be of more help. 🤔

To start off, make sure you have both Eisenwolf's Legacy and symbiotic Settlements mods downloaded. Then go to Sunshine Tidings and head south to the abandoned church. Go past the church to the yao guai den and get "Biff's note" off the dead body. That will start the quest. Travel south to the point on the map that is indicated by the quest. You'll find a highway maintenance sewer pipe. Go inside and get the Eisenwolf Almanach which is hidden up in the pipe. Next, fast travel to the Natick Police Department. Get the book return station manual off the floor beside the book return machine. Now you can go to whatever settlement you choose and get into workshop mode. In your special section, you'll find a text scanner. In order to build this, besides your normal crafting supplies, you'll need a camera and a military grade circuit board. Once you've built the scanner, put the Eisenwolf Almanach in the scanner. The scanner will take a minute or so but when it's done, all of the symbiotic settlement materials will be in your workshop for you to use as you see fit. That's it. I hope it helps. :-}

Jeremy, I've never heard of anyone having this problem, although some mods admittedly don't work well with others. It may be a problem with your load order. Curiously, I've heard a ton of complaints in the past few days of all kinds of strange things happening in people's games. Many people feel that it may be due to the recent Fallout 4 update. I've also experienced some strange issues lately while playing the game. I wish I had some advice to help you work out this issue, buy the best I can do is say to check your load order. Maybe you should try posting this on Reddit, someone there may have some ideas. 😓

Well I 'fixed' it by downloading the mod with all the in game assets, I guess that works for now until hopefully this mod is patched

I just noticed after loading this mod on my XB1, that my unlimited build limit mod is no longer Unlimited. Is there a workaround for this?

Nathan, it may have something to do with your load order. I run both mods and don't have any problems with it, so I would check your load order. I hope that helps. 😀

Nathan, on Xbox I'm running 144 mods. I have Eisenwolf's Legacy 4th from the top. Ten below that is where I have Symbiotic Settlements and my Extended Borders mod is waaay down in the 119th position. So try putting Eisenwolf above Symbiotic and the Extended Borders down near the bottom of your load order. 😀
