Mod Shaming: Malgus: Why crit avoidance matters

This is true and I mod him the same way, but I’ve heard arguments for more protection, the more protection he has the longer he can go without gas reducing his max health, once gas does that, his damage reduces as well, also malgus increases is health over time so it’s not too bad to give him protection

Stacking health really emphasizes more of a health build. But safe guarding against health reduction is interesting

@@CalvinAwesome yea I’ve seen lots of wins from gas because when people mod for health his protection isn’t as high, and even the first time gas reduces max health it’s a significant reduction, 20% of off 600k health is 120k. When he’s on defense I consider him a stall team, his damage isn’t too important just make him unkillable I also keep Malak off the team for this reason as well

I keep DR with a speed arrow for outside of GAC. I actually find that his lead can sometimes be slightly better than malgus for some matchups (outside of GAC ofc)

No, he get vulnerable which guarantees crits. So it's essentially a wasted stat

It's best to use offense set with good speed secondaries. but he takes a few turns to hit hard, he needs to be called into assist.

crit avoidance is a stat easily obtainable by datacrons, why sacrifise the speed? his base kitt already gets him up to about 90% , i dont have crit avoidance and NEVER lost to a gas neither in 3v3 or 5v5 and its always the first counter people throw at me. i just dont understand why critavoidance arrows are still a thing since datacrons are easily obtainable and perfectly add to a toon, speed is the onyl stat not being able to be rolled and leaping before a gas can attack will down him turn 1, might be just me but IMO critavoidance arrow on malgus is wrong. ( UNLESS your mods are not up to par) aside from that health or speed always priortises over crit avoidance in sith empire IMO. for the rest pretty good advice.

Well there is no guarantee crit avoid will be on any Datacron set. Those stats change every time.
