I appreciate how beautiful the landscape is especially in the premium version of the map and that magic unicorn is such a beauty, but MAN, the cerato and spino bosses were a bit painful to look at. Literally the dino outline and then they decided to splash colour to it. I feel that it would look better if they add a few more details to it like the eyes and teeth. The map overall looks promising but yeah, probably will wait before I pay $10. Props to the modders too for working hard on this with their bug fixes so far.

Haha, I actually like the look of the Cerato but I do know what you mean, would be nicer to see some facial details at least, they would look super cool then! I agree, I do like the map a lot, just needs some more work with the bugs, lightning, texture issues etc and some finishing touches!

@@BEYPlaysGames The bosses are a deal breaker for me, they look like placeholders that aren't rendered/textured properly. (I mean at best they're sci-fi/digitised but, even then I'd say low quality textures, and it's jarring against the fantasy theme) It just goes to show the incredible talent of folks like Nekatus, who're able to create stunning maps as well as unique bossed like Fjordur, and Astraeos. I also think some of the unique resources don't match the received material.. The map has a brilliant thematic and they're clearly a very talented team in their own right; I'm wishing them all the best, but unless they fix the bugs and give the bosses more unique visuals, I don't think I can justify the time. This is on the watch-list though for sure if changes do come.

Great, honest review buddy!! I'm shocked to see all those bugs though, I'll be waiting to buy it if I do, I prefer the look of other premium mod maps to be honest, Map looks great but I think it needs more of a variety of different biomes!

Gonna be honest i really dont vibe with the whole “theres a free and premium version and the premium version is more detailed and costs money despite not even being finished”. This premium mod stuff has been incredibly hit and miss imo

After seeing your previous videos on maps I own and play, seeing this one for a map I've not touched, has actually encouraged me to buy it now, for the same reason you did, to help support getting it finished. But the warnings about bugs and issues is VERY welcome, so I am not going inn blind. Great video again dude!

Thank you very much for your video All the points you pointed out are currently receiving updates and everything is starting to improve I would like to point out that like other modders I am not a professional, I am new to this and I have managed to create this great map, much more finished than others Yes, it is true that I still receive some errors But I am currently trying to resolve them all I hope this is a great experience for everyone

Really good review of the map, thanks for highlighting some of the new things in the paid version. I feel like mod creators don't understand that a little update on features on the curseforge page goes a long way. Not many of us want to or have time to subscribe to and follow 3000 discord pages of Ark mods just to find out if issue A or B has been fixed or whats new on a particular mod we are interested in.

Every map in ark NEEDs mini bosses that offer element even if its only a small amount. This map does a lot right but like 99.9% of ASA maps so much is broken.

I played the free version of this and it was fun and unique, but had a lot of performance issues, crashes and teleporting players outside the world boundary. The issue is the developer has no experience in making mod maps, and always pushes back on feedback from player.

Hmmm I am very surprised there is still a lot of performance issues, I will admit I haven't revisited the map since this review! But in terms of other mod maps the other premium mod maps are far more enjoyable for me because there's not many performance issues, this was the first premium mod map I came across that was littered with them :(

I don't think I'll pay for a mod ever, you never know. In ASE you didn't pay and get amazing experiences, also found free versions to be great in ASA. Though appreciate you showing these just in case 😅

Beautiful map with tons of potential but I brought up the over spawning issues well over a month or two ago and was dismissed by the dev and a few cronies with "It looks fine on my end, it must be your server settings". Would love to see these mistakes get fixed and perhaps some more open mindedness rather than dismissal in the discord.

To be fair I was thinking WC was making these paid dlc things, and yes I already know they don’t make them themselves, and just basically ripping from the base game and mashing it up basically saying “here’s an asset flip! Now gimme $10” but I’m pleasantly surprised. I saw the art for this mod and thought it looked an awful lot like Crystal Isles… so I thought “they just made a Crystal Isles knockoff and made you pay.”

Oh wow this mak would be a hard pass then. I could deal with a few glitches..I don't play the bosses so that's fine, and even the occasional graphics lighting issue or teleport is fine, but good gods, it's rampant and everywhere. And those spawning issue are a real problem (it's one reason I don't like playing abbe .. too many desert areas, too many giant blank spots).

excuse my ignorance but do these maps allow being played on offical? like could i transfer to and from with my character? could i use the skins or anything on offical?

No problem! I'm pretty sure that these modded maps and the official servers for them are separate from official maps and characters, so I believe you would have to start a new character, I could be wrong though! If I can i'll start a new character and try to transfer out on one of the official servers just to test it out and see what servers appear on the list

Just tried to transfer out from the Althemia Official PVE server and I could not see any servers, unless I did something wrong, it appears you can't transfer in and out with characters from other maps!

And that does really suck, I'm honestly not really certain about it but if you deleted it in game it would completely remove the game save from the files on your computer, unless you have back ups of the single player game save folders on your computer i'm afraid there's no way to get it back :( i'm still not certain though, but if I find anything else out i'll surely let you know!
