The shutter button on the Kodak Printomatic is very sensitive and the slightest touch will take a picture and instantly print it, wasting your paper and costing you about 50 cents per accidental shot. Here you will learn how to easily modify your Printomatic and also add a Lens hood to save even more money from wasted ZINK paper.

The shutter button on the Printomatic is just way too sensitive. I wonder if it was designed like that on purpose?

Does the lens cover effect lighting or anything? Or is it simply for covering the lens?

I could help prevent some sun getting into the lens. But the hood and lens cap came together when I purchased them. The camera won't print if they are on because it's too dark. Also, I think it makes the camera look a little but cooler.
