great ideas already shared ! I love the kitty chair by the mirror if it fits. Just my opinion but the pillows on the couch are fighting with the wallpaper behind it. Totally different vibes. I'd love to see something more baroque/dark academia feeling for pillows.

What about an oblong art piece that features that phenomenal wallpaper but just shaped a different way on that wall. Maybe something from floor to ceiling that is slim.

black wall with gold different shaped pictures, maybe horns, beetles, dragon-fly or butterflys and round mirrors to play with shapes

I love how you demonstrate that it takes time for a space to become your own. it is great how you re-purpose your own belongings first and don't run out and buy new things which shows us that our belongings tell our story. Each stage of the process has been a part of the healing process as well! I love the phrase "get your head straight before you get your home straight". The way you share the personal story behind your journey is so moving. I am sure many of your viewers, myself included, have gone through similar life events and your story has helped so many. Thanks for sharing that messy but lovely process.

The sofa is fabulous! Your place is lovely. Las Vegas rent has tripled. We were living in a beautiful 4 bedroom 2 car garage in a gated community for 7 years. The pandemic hit... We now live a very small apartment for the same price. I was really depressed with having to let go of my beautiful, large sectional, and most of my belongings. My style went from contemporary modern to boho mid century modern. You've given me some more ideas! Thank you for posting.

Thank you! And I didn’t end up vlogging the process because I did that in this video when we put up the wallpaper in the last apartment: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZa8eWN6qs6jebMsi=bzAWT5jUk6Lf8TKl I felt like it would have basically been the same content as that video. Plus, I have to admit… vlogging makes the wallpapering process sooo much longer and I really just wanted to get it done 😅

More thoughts, I commented in another video but i think curtains would really tie everything together. The swooping lamp that is by your couch would look better in that empty space by the tv. It holds such a large footprint visually. And there's something about it by your couch that blocks the flow and view of your wallpaper
@Laura-rx9mp10 ай бұрын
Steffi, how about a larger jute rug under the pretty living rug? It can cover more floor space and you can worth weird angle nicely since it won't be too noticeable (being neutral and all). It looks fabulous in there!!!! You did good. A smaller mid century chair may work in the empty space? Cheers

Hi Steffi, Love how your apartment is coming together and love, love the wall paper! Would you still be able to see the wall paper if you moved the mirror to the empty space on the wall? With it being there you could also use it as a check yourself before heading out the door space. Then move the chair where the mirror/blanket basket is? Making it Helo's little corner and additional seating if needed? Just a thought.😊 Happy Easter!

Maybe a bench to sit put on shoes, etc in a beautiful ornate dark fabric, or maybe a tall woof and black pipes shelf unit, it will give a visual division. IMO. Anyway, beautiful apartment, love your style❤ Hellos! Saludos from Puerto Rico. We have similar taste, but I have a house and it’s so much harder to decorate in that style. My bedroom is like that, and I do have a black accent wall in my foyer and some crystals. But I have double height wall with skylight in my living room and they are very intimidating to change color. Right now they are white, but do have some big art. Don’t watching videos to get inspiration. Thank you for your videos!

I don't mind a chair in that space, but perhaps a different style of chair or go with something bold (but less bold than the wallpaper) vertically on the wall. The new wallpaper is beautiful. One thing in the room which needs to go, in my opinion, is the wallhanging with the flowers above the armchair. It’s just too much, it doesn’t match anything, and it makes that corner look crowded. It’s not necessary to put something on every blank wall - a tip someone gave me years ago and which I have found invaluable.

I understand you don't want the armchair there but I'm concerned that Helo will be unhappy if the chair goes bye-bye. It's been Helo's spot since you were in the studio, right? Have you considered moving the armchair to where you put the blanket basket? The chair should also block most of the wires, and you could potentially put the basket where the chair used to be. (I'd put the sparkly pillow back on the chair too.) If you *don't* use the chair in this apartment, could it go to your folks' place? You might find that you want it back at a later date.

I'm sure it's too late for my input. Still my thought is this. The chair could 100% face from the kitchen to the hall. Come in, sit down, take off your shoes. We don't wear shoes inside. @theemarydee16106 ай бұрын
You actually do not have any black or dark gray on the opposite wall of the wallpaper. The color of mirror frame is too warm next to credenza. The mirror could go in the armchair space ‘as was’, though you could use peel and stick wallpaper to the mirror frame…a thick stripe of black and white or cream. With the mirror moved, the blanket basket with pillow will now occupy that corner without competing for space.
