I definitely agree that it's only really worth it if you have a printer, the middle bit is a bit prone to cracking with the way some people shift. But the difference feeling is very remarkable for such a simple mod.

Yeah, I was shocked at how much better it feels. But yeah, the parts are basically disposable

KZbin doesn't allow links, but Custom Sim Shop has a spring replacement piece for like $6.69 USD that brings the shifting force from 570g to about 1.8Kg according to their measurments. (pretty much impossible to find on their website without a link) The spring in the shifter pushes a ball bearing against a metal plate that has 3 different round cutouts that the ball slots into. This is what's responsible for the click of going into gear. You can actually just put anything under that spring that fits to space it out and give it some pre-load.

KZbin doesn't even allow me to SAY how to get there, but if you go to that site and click any product, heres what you need to get there (I can't explicitly say where this goes because KZbin keeps removing my comment if I do, but edit the text in the special bar at the top of the browser wink wink) "logitech-h-pattern-improvement-mod"

I bought a second hand G25 today and did this exact thing to it because it was so loose it wouldn't stay in gear and now it's like new! No need to buy any aftermarket bits for it just tighten up that spring pressure like you say!

I'm definitely getting this mod. I don't like the look of the gated magnetic mods. They make the shifter look goofy since they're so tall.
@manylearn Жыл бұрын
Yeah, this is invisible. But they should be considered disposable as they do break every now and again
@Yukanhayt-Mhenow Жыл бұрын
Just tighten the spring pressure in the shifter, no need to buy anything! Y'all are getting scammed

Are you making & selling these? Would like to buy. I don't have a 3D printer.
@manylearn Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately no, I think the nature of them being so easy to break would make selling them tough. They can break after minutes or hours sometimes depending on how rough you are on them

I bought that mod it lasted 3 days, and the whole lot broke. It's not strong enough needs to metal plastic rubbish

Yeah, they’re basically disposable. Not something I’d recommend buying. Great while they work but if you don’t have a 3D printer, not worth it
