The Ford mod engine is a very cool platform for a hot rod. You don't see them enough. The mod engine looks good when it's stripped down and cleaned up. My departed mother had a 02 Crown Vic LX with the 4.6. I drove my mom to many appointments in that car. That Vic would fly if you wanted it to. That was a great car. Y'all keep up the good work.

Not a Ford Fan by any stretch but the Mods are pretty cool Engines. You don't see them that often for the same reasons the SBC became the "go to" Engine. Price. Hell, a BUICK 350 will make more power than a SBC, and it's a lighter engine, if they're built the same but the Buick will cost more to build. Even a Hemi is cheaper to build than a Mod. now.

@@SGTJDerekabsolutely, the Coyote is an evolution of the same 4-valve Mod Motor that's been around since '93 when the Mk. VIII got it first before the '96 cobra. Fun fact, not all engines sit in there perfectly level or symmetrically. I learned real quickly in my 78 camaro engine swap the engine tiltes back and is offset towards the passenger side.
