Lately, I have been playing in creative mode to explore without the worry of health and hunger/thirst. But recently, I started a freedom (survival without hunger and thrust) game and every time I get close to the Aurora and hear the Reaper screams, I have been getting this sick feeling in my gut that I’m completely fucked... All the time I was playing in creative mode, I was having so much fun watching the behavior of the Reapers. But in survival, I am reminded of how fucking horrifying that roar is. Screw the Ghost Leviathan, screw the Sea Dragon, screw the Crabsquid, the Reaper is what sheer horror really feels like. This game is brilliant at creating tension, and I am proud to state that Subnautica (in my opinion) is the greatest video game of all time.

The arora and observatory count as their own biomes I know this cause I was watching IGP and he had a building to the bottom of the void series where he built to the bottom in survival and when he went into the observatory while in the void, the ghost leviathans left meaning he “left” the void Same with the arora somebody had a arora in the void mod and going into the arora made the ghosts leave

The terraform mod sounds great now I can hide my *giant frame killing base* in the side of a cliff, and hide my "surprise adopted" fish underground with the only entrance being a hatch attached to a random hallway that has a ladder going down into the ground, and all of that could be inside the bones of the gargantuan leviathan.

A thing to remember about Warpers is to avoid there teleporting thing they throw at you And I also recommend getting a reinforcement dive suit as it's amazing, it's like wearing diamond armor One thing that really helps me get out of the fear is to feel more dominant than the thing you're fighting I got over the fear of Ghost by going head first with my prawn suit grappling hook and a standard arm and taking it down And for the Sea Dragon Just yeet salt at him with a Propulsion cannon What I'm saying is to be the predators predator and they'll become the prey Wow that sounds inspirational (Note, you can still die if you're being too dominate, just because I said be better than them, they are still strong, I also recommend just avoiding them as that's the best solution but Cyclops will die to those the most)

Once I needed to get out of the Lost River and ended up getting out in the Bulb Zone. My Cyclops was very low on health. There was the Reaper next to the Mountain near me, so I was very nervous. I managed to get out with my Cyclops in one piece. If anyone were to use the first mod to spawn Reapers in the Safe Shallows in Survival, then that experience that I had would be minuscule.

I recall having a dream like this. I was playing Hardcore mode, and everything was the same except for this: Reapers spawn everywhere as if 22 wasn't enough, all passive fauna are replaced with Hostile ones, every biome has the murky fog effect of the Aurora, there is very little plant life in any of the Biomes (also like the Crash Zone), and finally. There are 15 different Void Leviathan creatures replacing the Ghost leviathans, including the deceased Leviathan species you find as fossil remains. Their behavior and species are randomized every time you open and exit the game, meaning you will never know exactly what Garguntaun Leviathan you will encounter or how to deal with them. These creatures on top of everything else, can't be scanned, can roam the map outside of the Void, and will destroy you and whatever vehicle you are in in a single bite. Honestly, if this was a mod, I'd be excited and equally terrified of ever playing that.

6:18 You dont need to create new pods for that effect, you just need to confuse the game with whether youre inside or outside. You can do so with the classic "warp" command: Warp outside of your base/pod from inside it and the game will think that youre still inside because you never gave it a "im going outside command" by using a hatch or jumping down the moonpool and will hence ignore the water. Below Zero even has a "ghost" command which makes this effect a little problematic every now and then if you forget to go outside your base first. Its easily fixable by just ghosting/warping back inside and using a hatch/moonpool first to make sure the game knows youre outside. :)
