Hidden areas might be referring to something I found, I had a mod that let me have infinite energy so I decided what if I try find the glass desert by flying over the slime sea? All I found was these weird structures that looked like the ancient ruins but like boxes, I didn’t explore much before jumping into the slime sea

The glass desert is above the rest of the map. If you turn on no clip and immortality in the debug mod, you should be able to fly down through the ground in the glass desert and find yourself over the map from the rest of the world.

For the catlike slime concept art at 12:55, I think that they combined the bottom left and bottom right slimes to create the Hunter Slime, because the one on the bottom right has the Hunter band around its eyes, and the bottom left one just seems to really resemble a Hunter Slime. Just a theory though! :)

Cube slimes is a reference to jelly from spiral knights, a game that Nick was lead dev before founding monomi park, more specifically due to when Nick appeared to public in game he used impostocube(a rare variety of jelly enemies) as his in-game appearance.

The "tar's place in slime life cycle" refers to the plot hole that comes from the existence of both tar & gordos. If becoming a gordo is the only way for a slime to reproduce, why are they compelled to become largos, then tar? Unless the tar actually play some part in their life cycle like the gordo does. But tar eat other slimes to reproduce, and they die on exposure to water and sunlight, things very integral to all other life forms. so what's the deal? Shouldn't those self destructive tendencies have been bread out of the population? If becoming a gordo is the goal, why largo at all? Last i remember, the leading theory was some kind of "tar virus" that all the slimes are affected by, that compels slimes to eat plorts to eventually become tars and infect other slimes (the ones that get away).

If I remember correct, in Spiral Knights, there’s a rare chance that any Jelly Cube slime spawn in game will be replace with a slime name “Impostocube” it basically a Pink Jelly Cube with hair, and a mustache, it also has a chance to drop accessory when killed. Also when Nick log into SK in the server back before he left, his appearance is literally the Impostocube instead of a Knight like other normal players, even his profile picture in the SK forum.

I know I'm really late to the party but I've stumbled across this video and was fairly disappointed at how little of obscure media from older versions you've covered. I was always with the frenchise mostly in 2016 and remember the game's history and evolution, I recently got my hands on a pre-alpha version of slime rancher and here's A LOT of obscure media so here's some stuff purely about slimes : Here's some unused slimes that were early versions of slimes that we got and some that we didn't got. It goes from the less obscure to the more obscure : -Puddle Slime That was basically early version of puddle slime, it spawned normally in the ponds of moss blanket (indigo querry didn't exist yet). The interesting thing about it was that they looked like pink slimes, but light blue. Their icon was even a recolor of pink slime's icon, weird. -Rad Slime This is interesting, Rad slime. They were unused in earlier versions when Indigo Querry wasn't yet in the game. I remember clearly when we were milking this game to every last drop just to find them. It's kinda weird, because rad slimes could be added easily using mods and they were fully functional. Their plorts were even sellable and seenable in the plortmarket, they just weren't in there for some reason. Also Oka Oka was in the files, it had a slightly diffrent texture. -Hunter Slime That was early version of hunter slime, before the great expansion of moss blanket. Hunter Slimes could be only spawned using mods. They looked exactly like Tabby Slimes with slightly darker texture, it's icon was the one of Tabby but weirdly greenish. It's plorts were white, had no icon and weren't sellable or seenable in the plortmarket. However it's plorts had a weird effect on other slimes. If you give it's plorts to other slimes they'll grow in size and turn slightly grayish, but no cat ears or tail. -Meteor Slime In early versions even before Indigo Querry, Silver Parsnip (Gray carrot) Was already in the game's files and accessable by modding, if you unlocked it in slimepedia you could see that Silver Parsnip is METEOR slime's favorite food, I'm not into Meteor slime lore but this is odd that we've got a mention about glass desert so early in development. It's also the only time Meteor slime is mentioned in-game. No unused slime :( -Cosmic Slime I REMEMBER THERE WAS SOMETHING ABOUT COSMIC SLIME, BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT. I SWEAR THERE WAS SOMETHING ABOUT COSMIC SLIME. I'LL COMEBACK ONCE I REFRESH MY MEMORY. 😭😭

Back in old versions of the game before the The Grotto got added in the Moss Blanket in the end of the Moss Blanket where is the portal to return to the Ranch there was a door to the left passing the portal, in updates later the Tabby Gordo in the Beach dropped a Key but updates later the Tabby Gordo drop changed to be a Portal and the Mysterious Door in the Moss Blanket also got removed making the Player in today days have a extra key and the content later that Door still unknown.

I feel like the random plorts could easily be exchanged for corrupted plorts, which would do nothing, but when fed to a slime it would immediately turn them into tarr maybe the plort could have the same oily rainbow look of the tarr, and be dripping or deformed somehow to show that its not a normal plort. edit: this is sepcifically for the iron rancher mode

I believe the tier 4 treasure pods are the black and purple treasure pods. They can only be unlocked after you max out 7zee rewards at what I believe is level 30. You then get to unlock the pods. They are hidden around the map or can be unlocked im H's vaults. I've found a few already but haven't been able to unlock them since each 7zee gets more expensive

im going to kinda add some things that im not sure anyone else said, but slimavorous didn't exactly know the meaning of 1: the viktor and mochi incident. mochi once offered viktor a fortune in newbucks for the forumula to create maifold cubes, but voctor said no, so she tried hacking into his data server for them multiple times for them, and when viktor asked about it, mochi declined. (it says this in the manifold cube's description.)

brb running to my game files i have wanted rain in this game for so long! i always end up thinking of weather and temperature when playing slime rancher.. there is viable water for rain and lots of flora, which assumingly need that water. it also would definitely be warm all the time; but, is it a place with a seasonal cycle? is there any dangerous weather, besides dervish tornados, mosaic flares, and the solar event in the glass desert? because of the glass desert, we know that weather can be an existent thing. does it rain? does it snow? auugh i have so many thoughts about this

bro not gonna lie you kinda look like I am a concerned mother with a 13 year old child and I am here to seek help regarding my son. Last week when we went to the supermarket, my son pointed to a red trash can and started jumping around screaming “THAT’S AMONG US! THAT TRASH CAN IS SUS! RED IS THE IMPOSTOR!” As soon as he did that, the manager told us to leave. I told him that my son is just excited about something, and apologised. But the manager still told us to leave so I picked up the red trash can that my son was going crazy over and threw it on the managers head. Then my son shouted “DEAD BODY REPORTED.” Can someone please tell me what on earth is wrong with him?
