Bet you could rig that minigun barrel to fire rockets from Munitions, use a projectile override and decrease the damage slightly and it wouldn't be that unbalanced at all.

i'm typically not into gun mods, unless they do something really interesting, which is rare, that missal gun mod looked interesting to me but also a bit overpowered, everything else looked boring to me. i do kind of like gun mods, but not the individual gun mods, i like them in packs because i would rather go to one mod to get all the guns instead of 50 to 100 other mods for the gun choices, but it seams in FO4 it doesn't work like that. that was more of a skyrim thing, and in skyrim there was only one armor weapon mod worth my time, and that was hothtrooper44 "immersive weapons and armor" mod that mod packed so many options of weapons and armors within it i never felt the need to use any other weapon or armor mod simply because it was a large pack in a single downloaded file.

It's funny how you're citing the most basic armor mod for Skyrim as the only thing you need. Have you actually tried any other armor mods? I have no idea why someone would use vanilla guard armors, for example, when something like NordWarUA's Sons of Skyrim exists (assuming they have that option). Larger bundles like that are typically vastly inferior in quality. Modern Firearms (or whatever it's called) for FO4 is a good example of that.

@@Herr_Affe i don't have modern firearms is that a pack of lots of guns or just one stupid gun?, i find them more interesting when they are in large packs, over the individual downloads such as for example. however "Combined Arms" mod which is multiple guns in a single download, they are modern firearms, but there is a pack of variety instead of the same stupid weapon, i like the packs more than the one gun mods. immersive weapons and armors mod is not vanilla at all lol, you must have no clue what i'm talking about if you say that, look up the mod i'm talking about, you will be surprised just how large that list of weapons and armors are packed into that single download, it's one of those mod packs you never want to take out of your load order because it offers the most variety. but that's for skyrim, not FO4. but i will mention i have not played skyrim in roughly 5 years at this point, so maybe that sons of skyrim mod came out after the fact of me playing FO4 and that i just have no idea about it's existence?

@@Herr_Affe ok so i just looked up sons of skyrim mod, and yeah it came out Original upload 26 May 2022. that's why i have not heard of it, but it's also just guard armor and a few weapons, don't get me wrong it's a nice touch for sure but it still doesn't offer anywhere near what variety immersive weapons and armor mod has in a single pack, but i do like them, i like that they don't make every guard in each hold look too much the same lol, that was always the criticisms in skyrim, every holds guards looked too similar with only one slight change, their colors lol, stormelcoaks were blue and imperials were brown and some had the silver armor but every other city had the same lame whiterun armor variant with diffrent colors and a slight change to their city's icon on their shields or armor.

@5226-p1e Immersive Armors includes mostly mashups of vanilla armors, with only a few completely new armor sets (typically from other mods, such as the armors ported over from The Witcher 2). It fills the same niche as Modern Firearms for Fallout 4 while mostly reusing vanilla assets (which dont look particularly good). Modern Firearms is fairly old, and it's just that: dozens of modern guns in a single pack that don't have the best quality or depth of customization. Combined Arms (the one that includes a Spas-12, I assume?) is something else. The quality of the weapons featured in it are generally on par with the higher quality single weapon mods, but it's an exception to the rule. The reality is that you'll get higher quality by downloading multiple, different mods than from a single, large pack of items in a single mod. Generally, people download mods because they don't like or are tired of vanilla assets, hence my point about NordwarUA's armor mods vs. Immersive Armors. The former adds completely new designs, while the latter reuses vanilla assets while mixing them up with assets from different franchises that have completely different aesthetics. Another example of an armor (well, it's technically an armor and weapon overhaul, divided into 2 parts) pack like that is Old Kingdom, which again adds lots of content, but at a lower quality.

@@Herr_Affe i understand that, i just get highly annoyed from downloading multiple mods just for gun variety, my load order stays in good order the fewer mods i have, most of the mods i use for FO4 sadly are to fix the god awful broken ass game lol. i wish there was a single fix for that too, but that is not something that exists sadly. but i try to keep the load order as low as possible because i hate conflicts and a messy load order and other issues that come from having a more complicated list of mods just makes it more of a pain in the ass to get working properly. so anyway i looked up the Modern Firearms mod, apparently it's not even on the nexus for some reason?, no idea why, but it might offer what i'm looking for in more variety, thanks for the suggestion. what i can't stand in FO4 especially are the single gun mods, where there is only 1 weapon per mod, that shit gets annoying as fuck. unless the weapon does something very interesting that doesn't make it feel the same like every other modern weapon mod, and i'm not talking about animations, don't get me wrong having new animations is cool and all, but i don't get too excited for that feature alone for a gun mod to be worth my time, what i mean by interesting is what does the gun do that no other gun mod don't, like it has interesting effects, think in terms of skyrim spell mods, where they each have their unique values and ways of effecting NPC's. like there was a spell that could teleport an NPC to some location then another that would cause some kind of gravity effect for a short period of time then another that would have a delay explosive and the NPC's head would expload or another that holds an NPC in place, or perhaps a gun that contains a net that can be used to capture a NPC but only works when the NPC is at low health thresholds, stuff like that, that's what i mean by interesting. the gun mods i find boring are the ones that only offer esthetics to the gun or animations to the gun but they all use higher damage effects on NPC's during fights, like higher damage is well and good, but it becomes boring because damn near every weapon can have these same changes so it makes it boring to me, it's like the vanilla armor variants, they look slightly diffrent and they have new animations but they don't offer anything interesting outside these things is what i'm saying. i have seen a few institute mods that make guns interesting, and some that are really just reskinned guns using vanilla animations and weapon attacks, like the tesla rifle, i have seen other mods that use that exact attack mode and nothing really interesting outside of the guns esthetics, so it deems them boring to me. but it's not just guns, i want to see some other mods that do interesting things, just like skyrim, offers so much more variety in enemy types, now there are some mods that offer this for sure, but they are very lacking from what i have seen in comparison to skyrim. like i want shit to be interesting and mysterious, maybe even offer new mechanics not used before, that kind of stuff is in rare supply in FO4 mods from what i have seen.

If it wasn't for the outstanding modding scene, I would've played the first hour of Fallout 4 nine years ago, turned it off, un-installed, and never played again. Instead, I still play it today.

These mods are ok, but when I want to have goofy fun, I play with RIDABLE BOTS...has a little red truck that goes everywhere even on water and the bots are cool as heck to ride, then there's 'LETS DANCEfor the NPC's which is cool cuz you can shoot the bomb one and make all your enemies dance while you shoot them...they still talk shit to you though while you shoot them. Another fun mod is WACKY WEAPONS SEASON PASS, where you go on like a scavenger hunt for some of the wackiest weapons there are...bliliger that fills the world with water which pisses off codsworth...never saw him angry before that, some other really fun weapons, it's worth it or you can drop the note and read it and all the guns show up in your inventory., Then there's DRIVABLES OF THE COMMONWEALTH...huge cats, dogs and Giddy up horses...and a small addition which is a doll house in a home in Concord that makes you small. Then there's COOKIEPALOOSA, when you find a chocolate chip cookie the fun begins, then there the Knome one that is fun...I could go on forever but these to me are the fun mods.

@Rajorn I think there was a mod that changed the game from the start, made into a situation where you didn't make it into the vault and so had to survive the new horrors unleashed by nuclear war....basically turned the game into survival game though. There's not really any mods that try to replace the main story.... there were a few modders here and there that tried but mainly gave up due to the scope of that undertaking alone.

You're asking for too much. There's a reason why there aren't many mods that touch FO4's main questline. Even Skyrim only started getting mods to improve its questlines in the last few years (or at least that's what it feels like, anyway). Some turds are harder to polish than others.

It uses a framework to lessen the Size of the mod, the stooge framework (includes the scopes, muzzles textures) . That itself is 1gb. However if there was alot of demand for it i wouldnt mind making a version of the mod that has the scope and muzzle textures inside the kar mod itself if there was a porter willing to put it into xbox

@@dankmemelord414 i disagree, but only on the principle of fixing the game, they left in so much shit that kept their game in a broken state for years and years and only came to give it a try now was a bad idea, but ultimately i want them to fix the game, there should be no fucking excuse to leave any game in that state for that long ever! the major issue with bethesda is they can't seem to do this job without breaking the game and making things worse, i often wonder if they ever really bug test their updates before release, because it often feels like they never do and instead leave all that bug testing to the players. but then you get into conspiracy theory mode and start to think maybe they broke the game on purpose to move ppl over to FO76 or starfield, because how long has it been since they did the FO4 update and broke the game? it was sometime in the spring right? and we haven't heard anything about it ever since, except from people having issues with the update. i of course never updated for myself because i know Bethesda's slow as fuck track record in fixing their games is damn near forever and i don't trust that so i froze steam through the appmanifest to prevent the update from happening. so my mods aren't having any issues because i'm still using last gen and never upgraded.

I only can omagine someone make a warhammer 40k weapon pack to fallout 4, like a pack with a lasgun, a auto gun, a plasma cannon and a bolter and all of them would work on the fallout 4 engine, since most of this weapons have a pistol version that is just short barrel with a pistol grip and maybe a guardsman armor to go...but well is just a mod idea and i dont have a pc or know how to do it... And i know there already a bundle out there but is 10 years old and the textures a very ps2😂😂😂😂 What do you think dak?
