Great list...super charger conversion is awesome! I have been eying coastal offroad DIY kits for a while but never went that route. I liked the concept because I can weld the stuff up, but hand cutting plates with an angle grinder and smoothing out edges is so tedious and messy, plus without tube benders, you are kind of locked in to very boxy geometry. How did you do your headliner? I tried some fabric at first, but the glue all fell down sitting in the parking lot at work during the hot summer months. I ended up taking it out and spray painting. I wasn't too happy with how it turned out, but it never sagged again!

Would it be possible to add a turbo and snorkel to a 2000 Xterra xe v6 for increased towing power and safer fun?

Possible? Sure, once you can cut and weld metal back together...anything is possible. But there isn't a dedicated turbo kit that is drop in. There was a version of the first gen xterra that had a super charger, but that requires a junk yard donor vehicle to scavenge the super charger, intake manifold, throttle body, cables, etc. Snorkels are definitely possible. Rob when replacing the IAC valve on a 2004 xterra, does it need calibrated or just plug and play?

Should be plug and play. There is an adjuster screw on the side of the valve, but it typically won't need adjustment.

Not a bad take! I chalk it up to another mod that people love to do on the internet because it’s 50 dollars vs 250…and looks good for a photo from far away. But unless it’s a dedicated trail rig you want to abuse, it won’t look legit.
