Things I love that I did to my 03' Xterra: 1. upgrading from an XE to an SE/SC 2. Coastal Offroad DIY bumpers. 3. Snorkel 4. 32" tires 4. Lift 5. Headliner

Great list...super charger conversion is awesome! I have been eying coastal offroad DIY kits for a while but never went that route. I liked the concept because I can weld the stuff up, but hand cutting plates with an angle grinder and smoothing out edges is so tedious and messy, plus without tube benders, you are kind of locked in to very boxy geometry. How did you do your headliner? I tried some fabric at first, but the glue all fell down sitting in the parking lot at work during the hot summer months. I ended up taking it out and spray painting. I wasn't too happy with how it turned out, but it never sagged again!

Tacoma Rob. - Roboma. - Robs Taco (Yikes?) - - good luck (P.S. I still,have my 2001 Xterra - yeah baby - 270K miles )

Maybe Taco Rob ...sounds less scandalous than Rob's Taco! Keep that X going man!!!!!!!

Maybe something more general like Rob's Garage so I don't have to rename after every vehicle change . Or keep Xterra Rob. Xterra Rob is who I am regardless of what I drive. Sounds like I need a poll!

Would it be possible to add a turbo and snorkel to a 2000 Xterra xe v6 for increased towing power and safer fun?
@XterraRob7 ай бұрын
Possible? Sure, once you can cut and weld metal back together...anything is possible. But there isn't a dedicated turbo kit that is drop in. There was a version of the first gen xterra that had a super charger, but that requires a junk yard donor vehicle to scavenge the super charger, intake manifold, throttle body, cables, etc. Snorkels are definitely possible. Check out 4x4parts.com and see what you like.

Haha...I know man, I've been off the grid recently. Having a little kid takes up all my free time these days! I have several videos getting finished up though so will be showing more of the Tacoma build here shortly. Thanks for watching!

Rob when replacing the IAC valve on a 2004 xterra, does it need calibrated or just plug and play?
@XterraRob7 ай бұрын
Should be plug and play. There is an adjuster screw on the side of the valve, but it typically won't need adjustment.

Not a bad take! I chalk it up to another mod that people love to do on the internet because it’s 50 dollars vs 250…and looks good for a photo from far away. But unless it’s a dedicated trail rig you want to abuse, it won’t look legit.
