Japanese PSP's have the X and O buttons swapped, with custom firmware you can swap them back.

It's funny how the Xbox has the lower button as confirm and the right button as cancel worldwide, Nintendo systems have the lower button as cancel and the right button as confirm worldwide, but PlayStation switches depending on whether or not you're in Japan.

@@JoBot__ it's not just in Japan, it's whether you are in Asia, i live in the Philippines and all my life i always remembered O being accept and X being cancel, and games who used them opposite way were always weird for me which is why it became one of my habits to whenever i first boot a game to go to settings and if possible put the accept button to right face button and cancel bottom at the bottom face buttom. That includes my Nintendo consoles, when i play on someone's Xbox or even my PC games. And as added bonus anyway, it goes against Sony's design of the face buttons if game devs and gamers continue to swap the purpose of X and O.

When I got my PSP(still have it albeit in a billion pieces because backlight died and I tried to "fix it" and never did), it came with a Skype credit. It blew my mind that I could call my mom's cellphone in the next room through the PSP using Skype. Man technology has changed a lot since then.

btw, you can force shutdown a psp, you just have to hold the power switch for quite a long time

you can also swap the X and O buttons around in custom firmware settings, the O button in Japan is for confirm and X is for cancel, which is otherway around in the rest of the world

The 128gb SD cards work just fine. I use one in my modded psp 3000. The PSP can play MP4 and AVI video formats.

There's no better way to emulate Atari Lynx. This is the only platform I've seen running it well. The screen ratio and button layout makes it perfect, like a 2000's Lynx upgrade. Until screen replacements became available, emulating it on PSP was preferable to the original hardware.

The iM@S Cinderella Girls anime is pretty good. Not as goated as the 2011 anime that's just about the 765 Pro idols, but still. Oh, and speaking of iM@S, the PSP got two games on the franchise, SP which is mostly just the arcade game with extra features and a story, and Shiny Festa, which I haven't played yet.
