Thank you. Yeah Royal kludge is really great for budget keyboards. My wife still uses this modded one I gave her without any issues. Although, I'm looking to replace her switches with Akko Radiant reds soon :)

the copper on the switch is actually a part of the lubing process IF you have linear switches like those reds. they reduced the friction if you also lube them. dont do it on tactiles

Ohhh...thank you! I didn't know about that until now. I can't remember now how I lubed them but right now the switch doesn't feel scratchy so perhaps the lube made it through the copper?

I am thoroughly impressed with the result! And it's your first time modding too! Makes me want to try it myself, but I just don't have the time. And I'm worried I might mess it up and ruin my keyboard in the process lol. But great job, my guy. And kudos for the editing!

Thank you. I watched a great deal of modding videos before attempting this. It's really not that hard as long as you remember how you dismantled it. If you're scared, you can prolly do what I did...mod the stock switches and stabs first since it's cheaper :)

So I have a problem, I wanted to replace the keycaps, but the space bar was too heavy for the single brown switch (key doesn't come back up after being pressed down), do you think I can buy a black switch, for example, to solve this problem?

Hey in the switch lube kit on amazon are 120 little clear o-rings included, where are they for or where does they go?

They're optional mods you can put under your keycaps to mute their bottom out sounds. Some people like it...I don't ;p

If you've changed to good quality PBT keycaps and a different profile(Cherry, XDA, SA..etc), then yeah that's gonna change the sound..PBT keycaps sound and feel more satisfying :)

Ung mga board lng tlaga na south facing ung LED/North facing ung switch pins walang interference sa cherry profile. Pero sa experience ko kc in modding 2 north-facing LED boards(RK G68 and Machenike K500), di ko talaga ramdam mapansin mo lng talaga kung very keen ka sa feel and acoustics. Di naman ibig sabihin na may interference eh hindi na lulubog ung keypress. Lumulubog pdin nmn. Natama lng tlaga sa switch housing pero again, di mo talaga mapapansin on regular use(at least sa case ko)

Do the stock switches support cherry designed keycaps

They do. I used the stock switches here and the keycaps I used here are Cherry profile keycaps.

Yes. The PCB is a 5pin hotswap so it would accept any MX-styled switch

Lubing the springs help reduce spring ping. But again, everything in this hobby is preference. Whether you lube or not, it's ur choice..nothing is right or wrong :)

You're welcome. If you're really interested to know the difference, you can lube some springs and see the difference for yourself. I personally liked it...well some don't... but really for me, it doesn't hurt to try

Walang naging interference since you use cherry profile keycaps?

Di ko nmn ramdam. Though may napapansin akong slight inconsistency sa tunog kpag nag-bottom out ako sa ibang keys. Pero very subtle tlaga chka mahirap masabi eh kung interference b tlaga xa or related dun sa foaming n ginawa ko.

I used for some month RK68 and redragon, and for me redragon Kumara is the best because Outemu swich red is faster, more precision, soft and very silent than cherry red.

I'm short on funds so I just made do with what I have. It's not so bad really after the mod. But I'll eventually replace these with gat yellows soon once I get some funds

Something's wrong with u bro? A lot of people r doing that cuz its a decent switch for starters & BUDGET builds. Besides, it was lubed so it will be almost as smooth as gats.
