It's a little disheartening when @Smith&Wesson shows a completely different model at the beginning. That gentleman is shooting a 586 L-Comp 7 shot .357. The model 19 Carry Comp this video is supposed to be about is a 6 shot revolver.
@Barry_Garza27 күн бұрын
I don't understand why they won't just stop machining the lock hole out. I'm sure getting rid of one of the failure points that need warranty work would decrease RMAs, and the market for people who are looking for one with a lock is significantly more niche than the market that simply won't buy because of the hole's liability.
@jmg22125 күн бұрын

@OfficialMINIm26 күн бұрын
Did I see 7 charging holes in the 19 carry comp at the beginning at the video? K frames can only take up to 6 I’m pretty sure.. I think you showed off the 586 L Comp at the beginning of the video instead which does have almost exact appearance but has the larger L frame & takes up to 7 rounds in the cylinder. That beginning section of the video needs to be re-edited as it’s misleading. The 19 carry comp does not have 7 rounds capacity. It has 6. I’d expect a better attention to detail given this video is actually made by S&W. Otherwise, the 19 carry comp is a great gun! Quality piece of machinery for those with class and style and pursue something different to a polymer semi auto.

@ I’m partial to my 357 magnum smith and Wessons and have K, L & N frame revolvers. Though I like the additional capacity (7 in the L frame & 8 in the N), I cannot deny the K frame is the perfect size and weight of a gun to carry. L frame I find is a good compromise between capacity, durability and size/weight but I would still rather carry a K frame over it.

Had M 19 back in the day. Cracked the forcing cone! Have they fixed that issue!
@teamkillz1234518 күн бұрын
Yes. All modern K frames in 357 have fixed that issue. The issue came from having to flatten the bottom portion of the forcing cone because they beefed up the cylinder. Post 2008 Kframes in 357 have removed the old front cylinder lock on the end of the ejector rod, meaning it doesnt need to be as thick. Meaning you can make a thinner ejector rod while still having a beefed up cylinder and you dont have to flatten the bottm of the forcing cone to fit the yoke on lockup. Meaning it can take full house 357 mag loads all day long.
@justenzo92825 күн бұрын
You are showing us the 586 L Comp instead of the 19 Carry Comp. The 586 L Comp is the 7 shot cylinder, cut for moonclips, with the "Performance Center" engraved on the right side of the barrel. 19 Carry Comp is a 6 shot, no moonclip, with "S&W 357 Magnum" engraving on the right side of barrel. To those saying S&W should do away with the internal lock, shush. It makes my older model 10, 15, 19, 65, and 66 worth a whole lot more than they would have been. This is just in the "K" frame revolvers. On the current internal lock models stainless steel models, I've machined a plug and tig welded it in place inside the frame. The only thing showing on the exterior is a small shadow ring. Unless I get a deal on a "lock" model, I have no interest. The blued steel versions show the weld effected area and no one does bluing like the factory.
