I was 14 when I drove my 29 ford and I still have it after 60 years

Amazing stuff! Just turned 21 myself and have bought a beautiful, albeit older, 1926 Model T Tudor sedan. Very much the precursor to the Model A, but still a joy (and a chore) to drive. Always nice to see fellow young hobbyists taking on these antique cars. The older guys taking care of them now won't be around forever.

Lovely video! It's nice to see such a young man figure out the non-syncro gear box, I'm 40 and was always around these things in a rural area south of cleveland ohio, its clutch in, neutral, clutch out, then clutch back in, tap the gas to match wheel speed, and slide into the next gear, LOL, was always good fun, glad you get to grive one that has windows and seats, lol, in my day it was a lawn chair and open top, and rust flying into the face! lol, the VW bugs from the 50's and 60's had syncromesh, just not from 1st to second, or going into reverse

Nice to see the Model A out in the wild. It would be cool to do a photo shoot at the Landenberg Store. The "A" would fit in well with the store and the bridge in the background. Your camera person was very professional.

Hey dear Matteo yes that's right they need intense care but looking sooo very much great, modern cars looking all the same no difference each vintage looks not alike. My parents had a Mercedes ponton style 1960 I drove an Audi A3 well tuned with wing doors, with Miami Dolphins paint. Your'e 17 and drive such a beauty od a car great respect 💪🤜🤛🖖👍🤝

Matteo, glad to see that you can double clutch going through the gears up and down, no clashes! I learned that not only can you double clutch between the gears, but you can also go through the gears with out using the clutch. You have to know the engine speed and when to shift.

@@dalemettee1147 Yes, it takes a lot of practice! Thanks

@@matteo-r07 OK, I had a '65 Chevy 350 four speed Super Sport Impala. I had a bad fall and injured my left foot (in a cast) so If I wanted to drive it, I had to learn how to shift without the clutch. That car would really go! Anyhow, to this day, I still prefer a manual transmission. They're getting harder and harder to find. The Toyota Corolla can still be had with 4 spd. Shifting paddles on the steering wheel is now the rage.
@matteo-r072 ай бұрын
@@dalemettee1147 Yep, there’s nothing quite like a real manual.

@@matteo-r07 Matteo, one of the things that I've noticed that when shifting through the gears is that there's about 500 RPM's between a current gear and the next gear. Several cars have passed and they all seem to have the same ratio betweeneach gear.
