I wish I had your level of patience and eye for details. The narrow gauge Siren Creek loco is looking GREAT so far.

I didn't always. I guess I've become more patient with models as I've gotten older. I'm glad you like the results so far. Thanks for watching!

Daniel, that’s brilliant. I had been wondering about how well the new Marklin mechanisms with working valve gear would work if I had to mess around with them so they would fit in conversion kit cylinders. Now I’ll just put a casing around the cylinders and leave the mechanism alone. Obvious solution, can’t believe I didn’t think of it.

I'm glad you found the ideas helpful. The cylinders probably wouldn't look quite right at a larger scale, but at this small size I think it works. Thanks for watching!

Been waiting for this one. Nicely done. Very innovative use of brass parts for the details. Makes me glad I don't work on anything smaller than HO scale. 😂

It's good to be working on this again. It's been sitting on the back burner while I got the track done on the N scale layout. That's good, though, as now I have somewhere to test it out when I get it running. Thanks for watching!

May I ask, what drill bits do you use and did you have any snap?
@DanielCortopassiАй бұрын
I don't really have a single source of drill bits. I've bought some from my local hobby shop. I'm not sure of the brand, but those seem to hold up the best. I've gotten others from places like Micro-Mark. They're okay but they tend to dull out fairly quickly, and sometimes break. I think I break more from dropping the pin vise than I do in actual use! I normally don't use anything smaller than a No. 79. The No. 80 bits tend to break if I look at them cross-eyed, regardless of where I get them. Thanks for watching!

I suppose if you have the skills to hand lay Z scale turnouts, you have skills to do anything...

I'm not sure about anything. I am happy with how this project is turning out so far, though. Thanks for watching!

Doesn’t labor have a cost value?
@DanielCortopassi2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, but if I charged a reasonable rate for my own labor, I wouldn't be able to afford myself! Thanks for watching!

Nichole and I aren't quite ready to start traveling again yet, so we probably won't be going to any conventions this year. I think Nichole would really enjoy it, though. Hopefully soon. Thanks for watching!
