I'm listening to this a few days before my 19th birthday, and although I'm very young I've been going through what I think is a very common phase for teenagers and young adults which is the obsessing and becoming upset over mortality and getting older, but your videos sir, have seriously helped me cope and relax and learn to just take my time and appreciate the little nuances of everyday life and relaxation :) I think a video on advice for growing up and becoming a man would be a big help to any younger listeners you have!

Very relaxing. It's like listening to my grandfather talk about vegetable gardening and environmental conservation (his former career) when I was a little kid. I like your videos more than the roleplay videos that are so common; having to suspend my disbelief for the roleplay videos requires mental effort, which ruins the effect for me.

Watching these catalogue vids by Relaxing ASMR reminds me totally of sitting on the sofa/couch beside my late uncle as he showed me the old photos of his family from the 1900s and when he was a kid in the 20s. Such wonderful photos they was and with so much story to them in the photo. My uncle would turn the pages of the album slowly after explaining each photo in gr8 detail. I remember getting total asmr sitting beside him. Cool vid Sir 🙂👍 gr8 cars. The cars back in the 70s had so much character.

Thank you ever so much for all the videos you put out, they really help me relax and de-stress after college and essay writing sessions when my brain is still ticking over a bit. I think you should do more of these, 'reading' videos maybe you could expand into amateur book readings? Still, thank you once again

This is one of my favourite of your videos! I often miss the copy of my circa 1964 hobbies catalog which had so many items in it that I used to spend hours dreaming of owning the various items like model planes and cars. Some of the planes were early remote control kits. Yes O owned that catalog in 1964 and 1965 and somehow I lost it over the years. My parents had a bad habit of throwing away my belongings without asking me permission.

don't know I missed this vid when it came out. Had a tough full on day at work. Watched this and chilled right out. And I'm not into model cars. But R/ASMR is the godfather of course. Hope part 2 was made

Relaxing to listen too, and I really enjoy scale model building (mostly military 1/35 and 1/72 scale). The price comments got me curious though. That V8 engine model was $12.95 in 1970 that with inflation of dollar value would cost over $60 today. You can get many different versions of those engine models for $35-$75 today. So the price is roughly the same, just the dollar has a different value thanks to inflation.

If model car makers were smart they would start making some of these models again. These model cars in this catalog are far more interesting than the every one looks like the other one cars of today.

I have some of the NASCAR kits from the 80's, 90's and 2000's, the Gen4 cars are still retailing for around 25 bucks, and the Dale Earnhardt kits( especially the variant paint jobs) are commanding prices in the 30-45 range...

I'm so glad I found your channel. As a male, I always felt weir watching ASMR vids by men, but watching yours, I'm realizing that I'm triggered much more strongly by men. I think back, and realize my strongest ASMR responses have usually been to males: doctor visits, my father or grandfather reading me to sleep, watching someone look over instructions whiel building me toys as a kid, etc. Thank you!

There's nothing weird about it. Seventy-five percent of my subscribers are male. Not sure why exactly, just more men looking to unwind than women I guess. What better way to unwind than goof around with pens, draw something, clean a carburetor, or look at some old model car catalog. It would grand though if I could gain more female subscribers so as to have a 50/50 ratio, but only so many of the ladies care about the things I typically tinker around with on my channel I surmise. Thanks for hanging out at my channel:)

Very good asmr vid. at 9:00 minutes there's a 69 Ford Thunderbird on the second page . It was never a realy wanted car ( what i have heard ) but i am the proud owner of one of these .I found it in a barn where it has been for over 6 years , i bought it and restored it . its got a very powerful 429 cui under the hood and it drives very smooth . I realy believe that these cars dont get the respect they deserve . Thanks for sharing this video . Greetings from a asmr and classic American car fan from Holland

From slimbiskit@'com I have one of these books ' if i remember i think it is a 1971 or 72 i have been building models for 40+ yrs . when i was a kid i thought that it was the holy grail of model books . Yes AW still sells magazines as well Lindburge still makes models ' they have come a long way from the simple kits . The new kits are are way more complex & detailed than the kits i could find as a kid keep the stirene alive man dont care bout the spellin later
